she is a relative on my grandmother's side the Fleet's...we were just invited to the kickoff exhibit for the 100 years celebration of the Morgan Library...interesting family stories over the years...we'd see sisters and brothers some brown skin and some very light...this story and the exhibit is amazing...still learning

@@withoutprejudice-ht1sg NO it has not! Whiteness has always been based on performance more than purity of lineage. If there really were a legal and social "one drop rule," nearly all the Latinos and Arabs would be "black" and forced into that "race."
