Except sushi had not been invented yet. Sushi originated in the Edo era roughly 1700 years after the death of Christ.

My favorite part of this is the Christians in the comments who are like "no way, it would be crazy to believe that he traveled so far!" Yet believe he walked on water, rose from the dead etc. 😂😂😂

It is actually believable, Arabs' trade routes already reached China whether via land or sea, going a little further to Japan which was already known to the Chinese is far more believable than any of his miracles

If you really think about it this Japanese Shintoist's take on the personality of Jesus Christ really isn't as laughable and far off from the European Pagan traditions that surround modern European/North American Christianity. Whether it's the incorporation of the pagan Winter solstice being celebrated as the birthday of the Christ (even though modern Christian historians admit that Christ most probably wasn't born in the Winter) or the pagan celebration of Spring and fertility as Easter (the supposed day when Christ was resurrected)... really makes you think. Even the modern depictions of Jesus as a fair complexioned European by many "European Christians" isn't that far off from the old Japanese man in the film claiming to be the descendent of a 2000 year old Middle Easterner.

I think this is a fake story of Jesus's life existence on Japanese soil just like the Russian girl Anastasia who was suppose to be the only surviving daughter of the Romanov Dynasty who were killed by the Bolsheviks in 1918. After doing the Romanov Dynasty blood test the DNA in 2008 said it was confirmed that this survivor Anastasia was a fake, the real daughter Anastasia died together with her family and this is what the Russian Orthodox Church believes in. I believe this man was no real Jesus Christ but just an ordinary man who knew Jesus before coming to Japan, believe me the real Jesus died in Israel but not on Japanese soil.

Jesus replaces the crucifixion by his brother, learns Buddhism and goes to Zipangu in the second home. To Japan where Moses is. The book which was written that the Knights after Temple and the remnants of 12 tribes are also written is owned only by executives of Freemason.

after he said this he was taken up before there very eyes, and a cloud hid him from there sight, they were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them, men of galilee, why do you stand here looking into the sky. this same Jesus who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven, acts 1 v 9

He obviously doesn't like the fact that he might not be a "pure" Japanese. The whole thing doesn't make much sense, but when people want to claim something they will believe it no matter what. The whole thing is a lie. But at the same time this reflects the western view of things in Japan, why don't we see Buddha buried in France? No, always western saints in Asian nations.

Watch the Christians pour in and claim this is false because it isn't in the Bible, as if the Bible is some sort of infallible "Word of God" text written by mortal men. Large chunks of Jesus' life were omitted from the Bible, making it possible that he did indeed have a brother who died instead of Jesus. I believe in Jesus, but there's a reason his entire life wasn't included in the Bible.
