This is one of the spookiest ghost stories in rock, and it involves one of the most iconic musicians in the history of recorded music. Did John return to The Beatles while they worked on his songs for the Anthology in 1995? Here's the story; you be the judge!

Paul was right. I don't believe in coincidence. There's also the story Julian Lennon tells of being in Australia and being given, I believe by an indigenous person, a large white feather, and John had specifically told Julian that if he saw a white feather after John's demise, it was from him. Very well done, sir.

Yes. Also there's an interview with Julian and Cynthia when Julian was a very young man. He talked about the white feather then and that he had been watching for it.

John is Free As a Bird. Did you see the part of the Anthology where a purple light came in view while Paul was being interviewed? The cameraman saw the light and Paul told him not to edit that. Spooky. Who knows if it was real, but I’d like to think so. Erin

Well, I’m a cosmic kinda of guy and I say it was John, you can see how much particularly, George’s face lit up after Paul had said that. Amazing photo too. Julian, also recalled seeing a white bird in front of him on one occasion. John was right into astral travel. If there was a way for John to make himself known to them, here it was. The universe is full of things we are blind to here in this level until shown. Thanks so very much for the presentation. Cheers Colin 🇦🇺

Look Lennon & McCartney are a class apart as song writers, why keep analysing them and not accept they were the best in our lifetime. George added another dimension, which was rarely accepted, but in my opinion George wrote some of the best songs. The Beatles set the standard and although there are many good songs since them, only a few met the standard and only on the odd occasion, not consistently. No one has met their standard on a long standing continuous basis . .......oh and by the way Ringo did his bit too and is a greatly under estimated drummer. Stop questioning the Beatles and accept these boys are best to date on so may fronts.

Did Paul own the peacock or was it wild and it just happened to walk by?

@@TheGuitarHistorian i've heard Paul tell this story on a couple of occasions, and he never mentioned that it was his. I kind of feel like he would told the others at the time, "Oh that's just Chuck. He's a pet." In England, I believe that pretty much everything in nature, be it the wildlife or trees or whatever, is owned by the royal family. So that white bird just cruising through Macca Land was probably on an errand for the Queen. "I'm just taking these papers up to Balmoral."
@johngibson911
@johngibson911 10 ай бұрын
No, the Royal Family don’t own all the wildlife in Britain - the monarch does still have an ancient right to exclusively take swans from the Thames but it’s just a quirky bit of old lore that people like to refer to and nobody actually eats swans any more. Peacocks in Britain are principally descended from birds originally brought from India by wealthy 18th & 19th century landowners to decorate their country estates and aren’t wild. Leucistic peacocks are very rare, and I’m sure John would have liked one as a pet if he’d still had his own country pile in the Mother Country, so this one made a good metaphor at the time.

When it comes to the soul and the personality, Ancient Egyptians believed in a BA and a KA. The KA is symbolized by upraised arms joined at the biceps. This was your eternal soul. The personality of a person, the BA was depicted as a little bird with a human face and arms. So who knows? Anything is possible. I hope the peacock sang for them and displayed its feathers, that would have been very John-like.

I must make a correction. 1994 was NOT the first time that the three Beatles had been photographed together in 25 years. There are several photos of Paul, George and Ringo together at the wedding reception of Eric and Pattie Clapton in the UK in 1979. The three of them are posed with Skiffle king Lonnie Donnegan. Look it up on the internet.

Talk about fake, McCartney is the biggest bullshit artist, he keeps coming up with these stories about different things now that there’s nobody left to question him about them. You could see in the anthology series George wasn’t that interested in working with Paul, he wasn’t interested in finishing now and then yet here we are almost 30 years later and paul goes and records the song pretty much by himself and passes it off as a Beatles song. I’m sure if George was still around he would have stopped it.

Stay tuned. I actually agree with you about now and then. Paul talks about the band being “Democratic“ and if one doesn’t want to do something, they don’t do it. However, after George said he didn’t like the song he still did it. Not cool and not Paul’s best moment.

One of the reasons George was not happy with Now & Then was that John's voice was poor due to the quality of the tape recording and his voice being drowned out by the piano in parts. According to Olivia Harrison, George felt because of these technical issues, a good recording could not be done. Until Peter Jackson and his team found a way to isolate John's voice away from the piano. Olivia Harrison said that George would have whole-heartedly worked on Now and Then in 2022-2023 with Paul and Ringo.
