Did Kamala Harris lie about her grandmother as alleged by Candace Owens?

A photo of a young Kamala Harris with an elderly lady that Kamala says is her grandmother is featured in the book she wrote several years ago. Vice President Harris' grandmother was named Beryl Harris, as she was married to Oscar Harris, Kamala's grandfather.
But conservative commentator Candace Owens is touting a Jamaican death certificate indicating that a woman named "Beryl Christie" died in 1960, four years before Kamala was even born.
Beryl Harris' mother was at one time married to a man that Professor Donald Harris (Kamala's father) called "Mr. Christie."
Owens, of course, believes that the "Beryl Christie" described in the 1960 death certificate is indeed Vice President Harris' grandmother and that the Vice President has been lying about having met her own grandmother.
But could the woman in the 1960 death certificate be someone other than the Vice President's grandmother?

The birth certificate also says the woman is a "female spinster" so how does she have direct descendants??

It’s crazier. When Donald was born, Oscar Joseph Harris was still Oscar Joseph Brown. Most likely, Oscar’s parents never actually married, and in adulthood he decided to take his biological father’s name. So if Beryl and Oscar had married when, or before, she likely would have taken the name Brown at that time. I would guess that Oscar changed Donald’s name when he changed his own. It’s possible that Donald asked his mother to change her name too at some point, not wanting out of wedlock birth to affect how Shyamala or her family, or maybe his children, saw their Jamaican family OR how people saw his daughters because of it. He is or was clearly defensive about how his family was seen and how Jamaican heritage is seen.

No record located that Beryl was ever legally married to Oscar Harris. Both Beryl and Oscar married other people, and those marriage records were found.

@@lindashelton4364 My second video addresses that issue. I'm now of the opinion that the 1995 "Beryl Harris" death certificate is not that of VP Harris' grandmother. But that still doesn't prove that this "Beryl Christie" woman who died in 1960 was VP Harris' grandmother. A 1963 wedding announcement announcing the married of Donald Harris and Kamala's mother refers to Donald Harris as the son of Oscar J. Harris and a Beryl Finegan of St. Ann. Now if grandma Beryl had already been dead in 1963, it seems like the ad would have referred to her as "the late Beryl Finegan.". And if she was going by the surname "Christie", one would expect the ad to have called her "the late Beryl Christie." The wedding announcement reads like Donald Harris' mother was still alive at the time Donald Harris married Kamala's mother. But those who hate Harris will still insist without proof that the 1960 death certificate is that of Kamala Harris' grandmother. Like I said in the follow-up video, the burden of proof is on Candace Owens and company, not me. I'm not the one going around spreading conspiracy theories
