Your panel guests, like so many others, make two completely contradictory observations. The first is noting that Kamala clearly won the debate and was endorsed by Taylor Swift. The second is noting that these events don't matter because the race is on a knife edge, with the majority of Americans already entrenched in either camp. What is often not fully appreciated is how so many things in life are decided on the margins. What the majority of Americans already think is not the metric here. It is the delta impact on the relatively small portion of undecided voters and/or the voters who might or might not vote. The impact of the debate and the Swift endorsement on these people is what really matters. While a lot could happen before the election, clearly even a very small change in the votes for either candidate will have a major impact on deciding the election. Never discount the fury (or furry) of a childless cat lady! Thanks to them and the people who love them, I am cautiously optimistic that we may finally see the end of this Trump nightmare.

The Marc guy had no clue what he was talking about when describing American voters. Stereotype of a smug European (at least he’s conscious of it). When you combine polarization, for profit media, a two party system, the electoral college, and party primaries (one of the only democracies in the world with them) where Trump only needed a plurality of Republicans to win the nomination, you get the political climate in America.

Marc Burleigh's input was horrible, garbage. He points--out that people are kind of used to this image of Harrison Ford or Independence Day type Presidents... but he completely botches it when he says "I think Americans are kind of looking for this ... cartoonish character as President, and so they like Trump." There's something fishy about that Bon Jovi story. I mean, just too coincidental there. He was filming a video on a bridge, and there HAPPENED to be someone contemplating suicide there... Or, let's put that vice-versa -- Someone was contemplating suicide on a bridge, and Bon Jovi HAPPENED to be filming a video there. Does anyone buy that? The 'likely' answer is that this was a publicity stunt. The next likely scenario is that it was THE WOMAN's publicity stunt -- in other words, she knew Bon Jovi was there (or would be there) filming a video, wanted BADLY to meet him (mega-fan), and came up with this idea to... do just that.
