So I wouldn't see why they would want to sabotage themselves. We choose the larger bottles to be different. They weren't assigned to us. I can only pray our next fragrance is a love for you. I loved hearing your perspective! As I was watching your video, I’ve compared all of my Navitus fragrances (Buck’s collab, Monika’s collab, citycjtv’s collab, Steven’s collab, Karina, gabby, Sharida and ai’s collabs)… and I can say that I can smell a difference between them however, I am not sure if it is a macerating difference or a quality difference. I can say that they all offer something different and I enjoy each for different reasons. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences for us to reflect on!

I don't know about the ingredients being different as far as cheap BUT the price difference is ridiculous!!!!! I have all 3 (AI & Sharida) but that price difference is a clear indication that Navitus knows that we are going to support them and are taking advantage by hiking the price!!!!

@@Jenn-777 The difference in price is $125.00. Other bottles are $170.00 and theirs are $295.00! There is no way I am convinced that the difference of $125.00 is for the bottle only. Brands market for a reason. Other bottles are the exact same with a vast price difference. For example, Splendeur Absolu is the same exact bottle as the Abrosia Imperiale bottle but for $325.00. The only difference is the color of the plaque on the front of the bottles. I am pretty sure that the difference in price is due to it being a collaboration with Victor DeSouza.

I absolutely love this video. It's so different from the usual nice sweet. Put on a face video that the fragrance community tends to promote. We should be creating safe spaces to Respectfully express our opinions. I really love Chocolate Queen, but it doesn't last on my skin. Unfortunately, while I wanted to adore Venom of love It's very mediocre, in my opinion. And I think what really killed it for me was Buying the Mason Alhambra and Paris corner Cherry fragrances all in the same week and those lasting longer and projecting farther and feeling cheated by venom of love. As for Ambrosia Imperial it didn't work for my skin. But because the reviews were so amazing. I figured it just didn't perform well for me. I'm obsessed with vanilla's and was really looking forward to Sharita's fragrance. But upon first spray I couldn't smell anything. Minutes later, what I could smell. Was that very soft lactonic smell that you get from baby's skin. I immediately listed mine on mercari at a I rolling price because I really didn't want to let it go. After a few days, I could smell A bit more of the notes and it was a bit stronger, but nothing worth three hundred dollars as it didn't last on my skin for more than two hours.

Opinionated individuals that are into the arts, and used to a community with expressive opinions.😅 I Received it as her taking up for the black creators. Not tearing them down at all . She admonishes them Both as huge assets and even went as far as to say that she would still support finantially with new endeavors going forward. Even though she believes Navitus is giving them Sub par materials to present to the community and taking Advantage with higher prices. (Which I often see blacks being overprotective of black creatives. And I think we need that. And there's nothing wrong with it.) Even AI Is in the comments saying that customers reported particles in her fragrance. I'm not accusing Navitus of any Wrong towards black creators directly. Because my sprayer on Chocolate Queen barely even works And as previously stated Paulina's Venom of Love is the same quality AS LATAFFA"S cherry fragrance. I agree with you. I bought decants of Ambrosia Imperiale and Amorous Intense. I was so disappointed and relieved all at the same time. I was disappointed at how cheap and synthetic the fragrances smell. I was relieved I didn’t pay for a full bottle. I don’t understand the price tag. These fragrances should be in the bargain bin at Ross or Burlington. I feel like these women must’ve been paid a pretty penny to push sub par(at best) fragrances. These women have some top tier fragrances in their collections. I don’t understand why they would push fragrances that are so mediocre. This was my first time experiencing Navitus fragrances. Hello, I’m really sad you dislike AI the Great and Sharida fragrances. I don’t own Sharida’s fragrance but I do own AI the Great fragrances and I absolutely love both of the fragrances. I know with fragrances everyone will have a different opinions about how it smells or what they feel about it but the note you may have an issue could be the musk but like I said I love it. I’m glad that you will still support them and have supported them. I hope their next fragrances will be like/love for you but again it’s your opinion and no judgement here. I think it’s all subjective. I also think it’s incredibly important that we’re able to distinguish between a scent simply not being up our alley vs. being bad quality because those two things are not the same. Just because you don’t like something doesn’t make the quality inferior. You just happen to not like it and that’s perfectly okay. Personally, I found Chocolate Queen to smell wildly uninteresting as I didn’t pick up on most of the notes that are supposed to be in it. That’s just my opinion on the scent itself, but I don’t believe it’s a low quality fragrance. Boring to me (again, purely subjective) as I think there are far more exciting chocolate scents out there, but that has nothing to do with the quality. This is why I’m so adamant about sampling when it comes to this house because I’ve had more misses than hits. It seems less of a conspiracy to undercut two Black women who they could’ve simply passed up for the opportunity altogether, and more of a case of you finding two fragrances that you just don’t enjoy which is normal. Every offering from a house won’t necessarily be a favorite.

Once a person's nose has developed, they can clearly distinguish a quality fragrance from one that is cheap and synthetic. These fragrances were not quality fragrances. There are fragrances that are not necessarily my cup of tea. However, I can appreciate them for what they are and understand how others like them. This was not the case with these fragrances.

The best Navitus is Miele Extase!! An excellent quality fragrances imo. No Amber wood which I think may also be the other culprit in many navitus frags. Miele Extase is long lasting, rich/warm/addictive and a high ompliment getter. It's aging well too and perfect for cold weather. Got a back up bottle with the initial discount!! 🎉 xx

So I love chocolate queen and I really like ambrosia imperial but won’t pay the price for ambrosia imperial. I sold my bottle of venom of love… and blind bought baklava royale and sold on eBay 3 days later.. it just didn’t work for me. I was wondering about the price difference though… I would purchase ambrosia imperial if it was the same price as chocolate queen (which I love so much I bought a back up bottle of)…I thought maybe the influencers dictated that price/bottle difference 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I don't own any Navitus. The reviews are all over the place for many of their scents. I find the number of influencer collaborations very desperate and is a turnoff. It wouldn't surprise me if they were scamming. Perhaps they think the return on a black influencer wouldn't be as high and they use cheaper ingredients to offset.

I love Sharida and didn't hesitate supporting her...but, I don't know what is up with the perfume, the scent is completely gone within 1 hour on my skin and the perfume is extremely screeching, something in it makes me nauseous! Use a unscented lotion an exfoliate regularly . Your duet also plays a factor as to how long a fragrance will last on you too . It may not be for you due to your body chemistry because it has longevity according to people who have it! Spray your fragrances more than 3 times 🤷🏿‍♀️ A lot of y’all don’t know how to spray your fragrances an then want to complain smh lol A lot of y’all hygiene ain’t up to par seriously ! I have been saying this about Navitus!! They use aromachemicals to enhance their fragrances instead of using quality ingredients. It is said to be an aromachemical molecule that minmics pheromones and make fragrances irresistible. Its also classified as hazardous for skin irritations, allergies and toxicities that have longterm effects on marine life. Some people ove or hate, Iso E Super, and others can't detect it. I perceive it to be screechie.

It's just used so much and in higher quantities now in some perfumes. It's made a lot of brands not wearable (to the people who can smell it). I'm just starting my fragrance journey, and have only watched a smattering of videos by all the KZbinrs. I have not smelled any of the fragrances...but I think I'll order a decant of each. However...I've made a serious dive into the fragrance rabbithole and I know enough about notes to know that Sherida was absolutely robbed. Her fragrance only has HALF the notes, so what kind of mess is that??? I KNOW that her nose is more sophisticated than that. I can tell by watching her videos.

I don’t get the “employee meal at all” I have a zillion niche perfumes and I can honestly say that AI’s are in my top tier and running side to side with the big perfumers. No disrespect to you but I don’t think it’s a black vs other race situation. Navitus seems to be a smart company and I can’t see them intentionally sabotaging what they’re putting out bc after all it would effect their profits but again I respect everyone’s opinions and we can agree to disagree that all of our noses are different. I love Ambrosia imperial . It doesnt smell cheap to me at all. Amorous intense isn’t my favorite but I dont think it smells cheap or synthetic. Its just not my scent profile. Venom of love and Chocolate queen to me smells screechy and synthetic. Maybe you just don’t like the perfume . It doesn’t have to do with the ingredients . You may just not like the scent

I’m thinking the davana note is what’s giving you that synthetic vibe. But I do agree that Amorous Intense smells slightly synthetic, especially in the opening. I couldn’t get past the green jolly rancher scent. I sold my bottle. However, I really do enjoy Ambrosia Imperiale. On another note, I received my bottle of Baklava Royale last week. It’s beautiful and was love at first sniff.

So I support all the black women making their dreams come true with their own fragrance creations. If they co-sign that the formula they tested & approved is the same as the one on the shelves, then we can’t assume Navitus did anything wrong. You may be misguided but you are entitled to your opinion. Only people who can clarify if your theory is right are AI & Sharida. Regarding GScents, another collaborator with the parent company of Navitus, he had issues with their business practices but never with the integrity of the final fragrances. So we can’t use that as an example. All in all, it’s likely that you just didn’t like their fragrance style AND perhaps some additional maceration of the new launches might help smooth them out. Just my two cents.

I blind bought Ambrosia imperiale, Amorous Intense, Mahni Cassonade and Miel Extase. I sold them on mercari except Ambrosia imperiale. I love that one. I'm so disappointed with the last one Mahni Cassonade, I thought it would be an excellent gourmand. I didn't care for it and sold it after a week. I bought the same kits...and BAAAAAAAYBEE, Navitus ain't got to worry about getting anymore of my coins! There were only 3 out of all of those samples that I could tolerate. They are playing on name recognition, from the perfumers to their collaborators, but selling mid product. I'm almost midway through my Ambrosia Imperiale & I just received it in late October, early November. I have to OVERSPRAY to get any real lasting power. Many of these perfumes remind me of the fragrance oils you can buy in bulk and add to a rollerball or use for candle making. They all share a weird synthetic DNA. It's not that, I feel like she was questioning why those prices are more than the others on their site by other influencers.. but I think it's cause of the packaging and larger bottles... those other perfumes are 3.3 and the ones she's referring to by AI and Sharida are 4 oz bottles that come in these huge leather cases
