Did Nike release these at a bad time?

With all the sneakers that have recently released Nike continues to still keep them coming. Today the Air Jordan 3 Midnight Navy released and it did not sell out at all. Do you think Nike and Jordan brand released these at a bad time due to all the other hyped sneaker releases and everyone shopping for Christmas presents and not having the extra money to spend on sneakers? Or was people just not feeling these? I'd love to know your thoughts on these?

New sub. Get your Money! I have these. Imo the leather quality is way better than most other Jordan's or maybe I just got a good pair. No qc issues either, which is rare for Nike/Jordan. I think these are some of the best Jordan's for the past 2 yrs.
