Persona is a spinoff of Shin Megami Tensei. More specifically, it's a sequel to Shin Megami Tensei: If, which takes place in an alternate reality to the first two SMT games. There's a lot of differences between the two, but they share some similar ideas. Persona is a character-driven narrative in which the plot takes a lot of twists and turns. It centers around psychological themes and delving into the inner workings of its characters' minds. Shin Megami Tensei is not at all like this- Its characters usually represent ideology above all else (usually siding with the forces of Chaos or Law) and don't have the same kinds of arcs that Persona does. This ideological concept is also the main theme of the series, it's not at all about psychology. Persona usually has a high school setting and even when it doesn't it's based around a modern Japanese city. It's usually about beings from the collective unconscious causing some sort of trouble in the real world. SMT, on the other hand, is usually set in a post-apocalyptic Japan. It's much more about exploring a post-apocalyptic world where demons run free. The demons in SMT are the Personas in Persona (as well as the main enemies in Persona 1, 2, and 5). They're all based on various mythological figures. The combat between both games is very similar. The main difference is that Persona aims to be a very beginner-friendly experience, while SMT is a lot more hardcore. Both games will kick your ass if you're not paying attention, but Persona only requires you to pay attention, while SMT tends to want you to use deeper strategies and think more about party composition. SMT is also a bit more comparable to Pokemon, since your party consists entirely of demons that you convince to join you (in addition to the main character). "M-Rated Post-Apocalyptic Pokemon" is a pretty good description of SMT in terms of gameplay.

At this point, Nintendo Directs are like the MCU of video game press events. They have their style down to a science, and even when they don't blow you away, they're still pretty reliable. You can count on a Direct to have a steady output of announcements for a nice variety of games big and small (usually with a section somewhere in the middle where they talk about a JRPG for 5 minutes) with the occasional really hype moment that fans latch unto.

Parents have to buy it to trick their kids that sit and play games all day into exercise by disguising it as a game and parents have to trick themselves into thinking that maybe it will be a more fun way to lose weight.

the BOTW 2 trailer actually made me cry because i've been playing zelda for about ten years and the first zelda game i played was wind waker and i played zelda 1 and also other zelda's to but to see how far it's come from being a 2D pixelated adventure game to a fully open world game with some of the best graphics i have ever seen, especially on the switch console. i'm only 15 and comparing BOTW 1 and 2 to wind waker makes me feel very old. reminds me of when times were better.

Mario Party, Metroid, Advance Wars, Warioware and that Zelda Game and Watch were the most exciting for me! Mario Golf would be my honorable mention just because at least we know Waluigi will be in that. Nice that they added Pauline also. Plus they did mention that they would be adding other characters to the roster. The Mii career mode is a nice addition too. Oh Super Monkey Ball would be another honorable mention. I saw pictures of Sonic and Tails as playable characters which makes sense since it's Sega and also the Sonic anniversary. I kinda knew if they did mention BoW2 it'd be for 2022. I'm thinking even the later part of 2022. Like October or November.

11:15 Shin Megami Tensei(SMT) series are hardcore dungeon crawlers and Persona series is the lighter and story driven rpgs of the SMT series. The demon compendium is almost the same between them. Just when you feel comfortable playing a SMT game, their mid to late game dungeons will start with very old school tricks that will question your sanity or ragequit. Like disabling the minimap, minimap enable but you are literally blind (pitch black dungeon), enemies with low-mid chance of insta kill, filled with random Warp points, etc. or a mix of those gimmicks.

I would never put full faith in theories, rumors, wishes and data mined content for anything. Rumors, wishes and theories are never confirmed and believing in them will lead to disappointment Data mines are different. There's a 50/50 chance what you find in the code is being worked on or is scrapped. So data mines aren't a 100% confirmation. I was disappointed there was no announcement, but we could see something in the future. Since the team is working on Splatoon 3, I don't expect to see things soon.

My biggest problem with the Mario Party Superstars is it felt like it should've been stuff added to the already existing Super Mario Party. They dropped that one like a sack of potatoes and only just recently added online boards. Personally feel like they shouldve released several DLCs in the vein of Smash Bros where each DLC adds a new board, and brings back some of the old mini games. Add in an option to only include the old mini games, new mini games, or both. Just feels really weird a few years later they make another Mario party based on the older games, but didnt just add it to the already existing switch mario party

So for Mario Party Superstars we have - 5 boards from the N64 series - Button Controls only - 100 minigames from the past entries - Online play for ALL modes - 20 coins for stars instead of 10 - Chance time - Taunts-ish - Birdo - Amazing graphics - Dice blocks which are now 1-10 instead of 1-6 - Nostalgia - A cool name And let's not forget that the people who made this game were the same people who worked on 9, 10, IT, and SR. . Super hyped. Kazuya in Smash is great since Namco helped develop Ultimate, and Tekken was a super important fighter back in the 90s. Smt5 looks good, as others said Persona is a spinoff of it so thats why they have similarities. And SUPER hyped for Metroid Dread, while its not Prime 4 a sequel to the underrated Fusion is something a lot of us have been wanting.
