It is really freeing isn’t. I ran into a lady on the 23rd that asked my kids if they were ready for Christmas? They said no. We don’t celebrate. She said my granddaughter doesn’t either. I asked if her granddaughter knew why? She said she said it is because she worships God. I said that is right and then proceeded on telling her what to study if she cared to know the idolatry behind it. We answer to God. No guilt in that.

I am 62 years old. I was raised in a Baptist home. In my teenage years I quit going to church. I never quit believing or praying. I quit celebrating Christmas in 2015. The only parts of Christmas I could connect to being a Christian is the hymns about Jesus’ birth and giving to the less fortunate but even then I questioned that. Why only Christmas time was that so important. Shouldn’t that be important everyday. In 2019 I watched a call for an uprising about Christmas and felt at peace with my decision to let Christmas go, that lead me to Rob Skiba which opened my eyes about Easter which erased my guilt of dropping Easter over 20 years ago. I will say I do enjoy the hymns about Jesus’ birth. O holy night is one of my all time favorite songs.

For the past 20 years, I literally just disappear at this time of the year. Long ago, I exhausted myself trying to shed light on my family about the worldly nature of this holiday. And, after they were obviously aware of my position, I began taking offense to being told things like "Merry Christmas", or to be given gifts, and even the invites to meals & get togethers. It was like "Hey, you don't have to participate in my beliefs, but at least respect that these are MY beliefs. When it comes to friends, colleagues, and even strangers, you'd respect their belief. You go out of your way to try to remember not to say Merry Christmas to Jews and Muslins, and apologize when it slips out. You would never offer pork to them or ask them to participate in anything specifically related to the observance. I'm your family, how do I not receive the same respect?" It always led to arguments & and debates because I can't go along with the falsehood of it all just to make ANYONE happy. So, for me...I found that removing myself and just becoming unavailable is the best way to walk in the Truth, yet, not create conflicts. I disappear right before Christmas, and reappear right after.

Good word Adam. My last Christmas was in 1985. Don't miss it at all. I remember my husband and I got a lot of flack from our families, my parents especially. Of all the holidays that we stopped observing, my dad (a 33rd degree Freemason) was most upset about Halloween. I didn't understand that at the time, but I do now. Thank you, Abba, for bringing me out of pagan churchianity to walk in the way of faith in Messiah for salvation, and as an expression of that faith, obedience to His Torah. Now we still share a meal with my parents on the 24th but we keep it simple! Then on the 25th we don't do much but have a relaxing day at home. The most High does love a cheerful giver and so on a separate day , usually a snow day over the winter break from school, the children get a few simple gifts. It’s been a journey thus far, it’s been around seven years when I first heard Yahweh say come out of her. Honestly, it took about four years after that to understand what, He was saying. I cannot believe I’ve read these scriptures before, I never seen that but, even when you show people this on the silver platter, they either don’t care. They know it says that, and they’re gonna celebrate it anyway. Pray for my family, my husband has agreed to do Hanukkah with me this year. Yes, “I do know it does not replace Christmas, but I think it’s amazing that my husband’s agreed to do this on the very time it overlaps Christmas. I haven’t set up a Christmas tree for years. I’m trying to think back to when exactly but I think it was 2008. I still went to family gatherings for the meal and the feeling of togetherness but this year, it all stopped. I have made a concrete decision to not partake in any of it. It feels a bit lonely but I keep reminding myself of what got me here to this point. Knowing the truth from God’s Word, clearly telling me not to do what the heathens do makes me know in my heart that removing myself from these manmade things is what pleases God. Besides, in the summer, I plan to have a family picnic that hopefully gets everyone together, so I can fill that feeling of togetherness.

I Have A Hard Time When People Wishing Me A Merry Christmas. I Know they are saying it in A Genuine Manner but I usually Respond with Same too you, But it feels like a Cop Out. I dont Want to tell every random person I dont celebrate Christmas when they are just trying to be Nice.

More than 14 years now my wife & I refuse to partake in the whole xmas thing. God got real cranky with the Hebrews way back in Ex 32, simply because they fabricated an Idol and announced their own Holy Day. As a result 3000 Hebrews were put to the sword, and they spent 40 years wandering the desert until everyone who participated in the sin had died. And Moses was not permitted to enter the promised land because he struck the rock twice, instead of once. So it is OBEDIENCE or nothing! We do not get to choose when we worship our Creator - He does! If anyone can show me xmas in scripture, then fine, I'll do it. Otherwise, according to the Bible, it is Idolatry... (P.S. The same applies to St Patricks Day, St Valentines Day, Fathers Day, Mothers Day, Boxing Day, or any other fabricated man made holiday, that God Himself never asks us to observe in Lev 23.)

Thank you for making this video. This is the first year I avoided all pagan celebrations and it's a relief. I used to celebrate nature and false gods and goddesses years ago which I deeply regret. I also decided sometime in autumn that we won't celebrate birthdays anymore either. Those also have a pagan origin that began in Egypt. Eventually, it became popular in Germany and spread around to other places. I'm sure early Christians didn't celebrate birthdays because they were pagan. I'm also pleased that my child agrees. She doesn't want to be like the Pharoah. Considering birthday celebrations are pagan and Christmas has pagan traditions, I'm sure Paul would be against them.
