Having read the document, myself I think you hit the nail on the head I saw nothing objectionable I think it's just a casualty of the polarizing nature of pope Francis but it's nothing traditionalists should have issue with.

Dear Redneck Catholic, I am so glad you pulled out that key statement from the Presentation, before the document even begins. And I am so glad you brought out Paragraph 31. Bless you! As Drew The Catholic might say, you have the blessings of Literacy! You were able to express quite clearly the difference between a ritual blessing and a simple blessing! Thank you for all your efforts! You are right, calling this a pro-gay document (when it is a legitimate Magisterial document) is against our own interests as Catholics! Amen to your prayer!!

My two bit opinion this could have been worded better. Poor choice of words is the hick up on this.

That's certainly a fair criticism. I think a lot of people mind take particular issue with the use of the word "couple," which seems to mean two same-sex attracted individuals in a relationship, but may be interpreted as their relationship itself if the reader is not careful.
