There is no way to know if Princess Diana had taken the Shahada but if she did and it was public knowledge it would have opened the eyes of many of her followers and people who admired her which would have in my opinion created a tsunami of followers into Islam. Having relationships with married men or other types of haram relationships is sinful but does not make you unbelievers (unless you declare lawful something which is illegal or vice versa). So even though she has had various haram relationships this does not rule out that Princess Diana may have become a Muslim or she was about to become a Muslim. However, it seems pointless to me to keep wondering if she was Muslim or not. Only Allah The Most High knows what was in her heart and if she believed in Him and His last Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) or not. If she had become a Muslim, may Allah ﷻ forgive her and bless her and make her enter Jannatul Firdaws. آمين

My sister, none of that matters. The Prophet’s uncles will not benefit from being related to him if they didn’t accept and follow Islam. What matters is how much an individual is obedient to Allah SWT and His messenger (sallalaahu alaihi wa sallam).
