I'm 40 years old, and my whole life always wanted a Transformer that "transformed". Then Robsun came out....and I was actually so disappointed. It's a neat gimmick, it REALLY is. But at the end of the day, and for the price....overwhelming majority of collectors are doing what you do, leaving in the box in a closet. It's just to much for a party piece. Same for these newer ones too.

Downloading the fan-made pre-programmed actions gives it a lot of play value, whether for admiring, showing off at social gatherings, or recording for video content.

I feel like future design should include optional joint locks better either built-in or couldn't be inserted into the joints to lock them into a desired position when the servos are off. It'd be really cool if they could incorporate some kind of Ratchet system as well that kicks in when servos are off

Wait? He CAN walk? I heard a lot of people mention he couldn't due to them focusing on the overall look of the robot. If he can walk then I'd be more likely to pick him up when he releases. It's such a small yet important thing to have on a figure this expensive in my opinion that has me hesitant to get him but I dunno. Any one else feel the same way? He looks incredible though.

I've been told you can program him to do so. But by default there is no walking (app doesn't work in Canada yet so I still can't test that for myself)

Servos can be moved without issue by themselves, it's the gearing outside of that you have to worry about, if there is a worm gear you'll for sure break it trying to manually move it. That said, what's up with the weird knees?

Needed better stabilization if you look at all the other robusen projects they all have seperate knee joints so it's a bit off from original but logically makes sense especially for walking

Two things: 1) I really like the G1 background music when he does his attack or dancing, but it feels like it's an inaccurate cross between universes. I'd rather have the G1 look with that music 2) FOR THAT PRICE, FIX THE SHUTDOWN SEQUENCE. That's like having your car crash into a house every time you park

I understand they are appealing to that premium market, but, for me, I'm just not sold on the purpose of this. I've been honestly contemplating on getting this, but, I keep thinking that when it's turned off, what am I supposed to do with it? It can somewhat pose while powered down, but not very well. I just feel like at this price point, it would need to hit all the check marks to be worth it (i.e. be able to articulate more and hold the pose when off). Maybe this isn't really for me as I want the action figure level of articulation from it. It is an extremely nice piece, but, like how you have your G1 Robosen Prime, I feel like I'd also play with this one for a bit, put it back in the box and shelve it.

I haven't watched RotB yet, but Optimus probably has the Matrix at this point. This is ofc in its own continuity separate from the Bayverse, so he probably has it at this point, cuz I don't see any reason that he won't. i get it that Knightverse Optimus will get a story arc in RotB, but I don't see any reason why he won't have the Matrix yet, he could've gotten it earlier in the timeline, before BBM, but is still kinda new at the whole being a Prime thing. & speaking of which, I hope Optimus uses the Matrix to defeat Unicron in TF4 cuz that'd be SO awesome, cuz as you should know, the Matrix is the only thing that can defeat Unicron, thats why Unicron wanted to destroy it (I think) in the 86 movie!

@@FennekinTF it’s the same continuity as the Bay films, Director/producer/studio have all said they plan to marry the two just not right now they’re going to wrap up this new unicron trilogy of films and end it in a way that ties in to the 2007 film, meaning he gets the matrix in 2009
