WOKE UP IN TOKYO is specifically designed for the Japanese market, leaning heavily into the J-POP style of music. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I’m glad they did something unique, especially for Asa and Ruka, who are both Japanese.

I wish they had kept the I woke up in Tokyo part in English and then are all the rest in Japanese. I figure they didn’t because it was actually someone else’s song so I think the Japanese parts are what was added for BabyMonster. They legit should do a 2D style anime ish music video.

Thanks for the support, you are a real Monstiez. Regarding the remixes, Stuck in the Middle, Batterup and Sheesh are definitely a show in their own right. A good example is the Summer Sonic encores, they improvise their vocals and are free on stage without worrying about the choreography so you can really see their souls as artists. Please give these songs one more chance and watch the encores live.

I get why people don't like woke up in tokyo but personally i am a big fan of these japanese rap style songs so i am soooo happy the only thing is that it was a bit too messy for my liking and i wish the chorus would have been the key-iiiii part because that is the jrap-ish style that i like but still good song and i am so happy YG let them try something different and from there own country too

It’s not my favorite by any stretch…but, I can follow their intent behind the song and I’ll never begrudge an artist for putting themselves out there. I’m also olde enough to be their parents so the old time children’s melody is going to be cringey no matter what.

The guitar is a key part for BM because all their songs are meant to be performed live with a live band. Can you imagine how hyped the audience will be with their vocals and live band shredding on the guitar!

In Love, Maybe...Yes, Love, Love Love... it's Chiquita in the first chorus, Rora in the 2nd chorus, and Ahyeon in the last chorus. All so talented. The harmony is exceptionally sung by Pharita and Rora, followed by Chiquita. During the final chorus, Ahyeon sings the Love, Love, Love, and Rami adlibs the high notes. Then Rami closes it out with Ahyeon adlibbing. Everything you thought and more, right? So beautiful. So talented. How about the entire group harmonizing? This song was perfectly arranged and beautifully performed. They get better each time. I just saw a video talking about the Drip album is #2 on the World Wide Itunes chart/list. I left your reaction early do to the disrespect you showed during Woke Up In Tokyo. You didn't have to go there and you kept rewinding to continue your disrespect. If I was a Japanese person watching your reaction I would have been offended.
