Since moving back to my hometown after 20 years away, the imagery in this song has become so relatable. My son and his hometeam are on fire, roofs leak when the late snow turns to rain, and the "old folks" are always still the same. For those Lightheads that had the Gord's Gold album, this song was the second half of a medley with "For Lovin' Me," a song which Gordon himself grew to dislike in his later years. Always felt like this little gem deserves to stand on its own.
