If the charger was plugged into an outlet to a phone, she would be in the wrong, but at the same time, the guy shouldn't be dumb enough to leave it unattended. If the charger was laying on the ground with no one looking over it, she can assume that it's discarded and should therefore have the right to take it. It would be no different than picking up money laying on the ground with no apparent owner. Also, the guy didn't need to be a Karen by filming and creating a scene. It was overly dramatic and only added unnecessary tension.

Its the core human principle as we grow up learning doing the right thing, especially not taking stuff that is not yours, irrelevant its a cheap or expensive item. I think the real reason Chael posted this video is because he imagined what his reaction would've been if the woman was his wife. Chael would've put the guy in his place and said the charger was on the ground and his wife tried to turn it into lost and found and told the guy to say thank you...end of story.
