Sure you can. Jesus instated the Church and made clear that whatever the disciple Peter decided to do was then correct. That rule was extended to the decisions made by the head of the church. So, literally, if the Catholic church decides something is so, by definition it is. The discussions at the last supper and afterwards, through to the time Jesus finally goes, lays out the conditions of the founding of Christ's church. If you can't rap your head around it read it all a few times slowly.

YES, IT DID! Catholics who believe going by the “oral tradition” of the Catholic church, which is not based on the Bible at all, is safe are foolish. The scriptures show the Word of God was never left to “word of mouth” because everything thing God spoke was recorded by writing, which not only preserved his Word, but showed what was and wasn’t of God. Mr. Winger knows as much. When the Jews added to God’s Word Christ scorned and rebuked them, and he used his word to do it. That’s why God ordained that his Word be recorded and kept for a witness and to be passed on the generations. God says plainly “all men have sinned,” and gives no exceptions, including Mary, “and fallen short of the glory of God.” Rom 3:23, and through one man sin entered the world and “death spread to all men.” Rom 5:12. Why do Catholics deny this? Because they put trust in man rather than God's Word. Also, the Catholic church is blind. They won't or can't share the missing huge step of Mary's sin offer and omit the important fact, and wrongly combine what Mary did on the eighth day as her COMPLETENES OF PURIFICATION, but it was not. Luke 2: 21 says “And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.” They leave out “AND SHE SHALL "CONTINUE" in the blood OF HER PURIFIYING three and thirty days; she shall touch no hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary, UNTIL THE DAYS OF HER PURIFYING BE FULFILLED.” This wasn’t complete on the eighth day! Leviticus 12:6 SAYS, "And when the DAYS OF HER PURIFYING ARE FULFILLED, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtledove, FOR A SIN OFFERING, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest” WHAT'S MISSING: In Luke 2:24 it says, “And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.” Leviticus VERSE 8 says “And if she be not able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons; the one for the burnt offering, and the other FOR A SIN OFFERING: and the priest shall make an atonement for her, and she shall be clean. So, as it says, according to the law of Moses, every mother that conceived, either a male or female, AFTER AN APPOINTED TIME had to offer sacrifices to God: one as a burnt offering, and ONE AS A SIN OFFERING. DON'T OVERLOOK "AFTER THE "APPOINTED TIME"! BACK TO LUKE 21 “And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb. NOTICE VERSE 22 “And WHEN "THE DAYS OF HER PURIFICATOIN" ACCORDING TO THE LAW OF MOSES “WERE ACCOMPLISHED,” they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord; NOTICE VERSE 23 “(As it is written in the law of the Lord, every male that openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord;) FACT: VERSE 24 “And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons. This is CLEARLY SHOWN she had to offer a SIN OFFERING! Mary applied this very observance as was required of every Jewish woman born under the Law of Moses, and it’s clear that the offering Mary offers is according to law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons. Lk.2:24, the one for the burnt offering, and the other FOR A SIN OFFERING. Lev. 12:8. Mary, being in the family of sinners, as all humans are since Adam, gave her sin offering. Mary knew she was a sinner and admitted her estate as the handmaiden of God and not "Mother of God" “For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed" Luke 1:48 "My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior" Luke 1:46,47 BUT Catholic pew warmers ignore this as well, because you don’t STUDY the Word, as God’s says to and believe the lies you’re told. ALSO, the Scriptures plainly states the family Jesus had, and that she did conceive more children after the birth of Jesus. She never remained a virgin and can never be considered "immaculate" as the lying Catholic Church has exalted her to be. "Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?" Matthew 13:55,56. BUT CATHOLICS IGNORE THIS TOO! Despite her being a participant in a miracle, Mary’s carnal nature tried to interfere with the mission of Jesus. Mary lost sight of Christ for three days and shortly after Jesus began his public ministry. When Jesus returned home, crowds began to mass around hear him speak. Mark 3:20. When Mary and his brothers got heard things had escalated, they went to seek him. It says his friends thought he was out of his mind. When Jesus heard that his family was beckoning him, he ignored their pleas and said to the crowd, “Behold My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of God, he is My brother and sister and mother.” Verse 34-35. So, Jesus denied his mother and brothers in favor of those who listened, were open to and not offended by his message and believed him. His brothers hadn’t yet believed on him and Mary, as sinner and loss sight of Jesus more than once. Christ set the record straight who He was at age 12 when she rebuked him and at the wedding of Cana, which you study more closely. The “oral tradition” of the papists has made innumerable errors. The papists deny central doctrines, such as the application of our salvation, AND the gospel itself, in their denial of justification by faith alone. Everybody who was born in Adam is worthy of condemnation (Romans 5:12-21. Mary as mediatrix is unfounded in Scripture. Scripture tells us who makes intercession for the saints before the Father."

A bit disappointed here. Reading early church father's demonstrates that any historic evidence for the Marian doctines are just not present pre-Nicea. For instance, the mentions of being the physical mother of Jesus' 1/2 brothers & sisters raises doubt that what Marian Doctines state should be a historical fact about her perpetual virginity. The Ark of the Covenant is also ascribed to Jesus not Mary for the first 300 years, and this makes so much more sense with regard to his own immaculate conception (born without sin) vs. Mary this trait. Long story short, it doesn't really pass the sniff test.

We know Mary never had more children. In Jewish social and culture at the time of Christ's death, Mary who was a widow would be taken care of by the surviving children. Jesus while on the cross asked John to take care of His mother because He knew there was no-one left to take care of her.

Calling a woman a “birthing vessel” first off is dehumanizing and demeaning. You wouldn’t phrase the woman you know like that would you? Like an object? And referring to the holiest woman to ever exist like that.. is sickening. Just because Jesus says come to me doesn’t mean that he condemns intercessors. BRING IT TO GOD YOURSELF.” And why would you not want the prayers of those surrounding God’s throne. Mary was not in need of saving- God knew since the beginning of time exactly how He would go about creating her so uniquely and equipped to bring His Son into the world. She bore the Savior and is the handmaid of the Lord. Her womb held our KING. That is sacred. God didn’t choose any old joe shmoe that would suffice. I have never had anybody explain why it is that the first century Christians were saved without needing to accept any Marian dogma's, but the bar got higher and higher for later Christians to the point now where a Catholic MUST accept ALL the Marian dogma's or you cannot be saved! The first century Christians were not required to believe in them simply because they were not taught in Scripture. The Bible teaches we are saved by believing in the Son of God, Jesus, who was born of a virgin, whose sacrifice on the cross redeemed us from sin. We can also include baptism as being necessary, according to Scripture. We can also include keeping the Commandments and loving our neighbor according to Scripture. But where does it say anything about believing ANY of the Marian dogma's in order to be saved?

I understand what you are saying, but how can anyone question the Church Magisterium, if they have been safeguarded to teach the truth, whether it be interpretation of Scripture or Sacred Tradition? The struggle for me as a lifelong Catholic is that when I read Scripture, I see many passages that speak of what is required of the Christian to be saved, and what will lead to condemnation. I fully believe that those who wrote Scripture were not leaving anything out that was crucial for being saved, either for those of their time period or those 2000 years later. I understand that the Church Magisterium has been given authority by Christ to lead the Church, guide it, even if that means making rules and regulations along the way in the best interest of either the whole Church or parts of it, but what I cannot see is how the Magisterium has been given the power to add more and more "salvific" beliefs over time, or raising the bar for successive generations of Catholics. I brought up this same question to a popular Catholic channel here many years ago, and the answer they gave me was that the Church does have the power to raise the bar over time, even if what they demand of you to believe is not explicit in Scripture. It basically goes back to the authority issue over and over. I just think that explanation is very lacking of Scriptural support, from what "I" can see. It just makes no sense to me WHY the Church, who is guided by the Spirit according to Scripture, would keeping raising the bar over time for new Christians to be saved? There is only one passage I can think of that might be explaining this, and that is Luke 12:48, but I'm really not sure if it is or not. I would like to hear what others think about all of this in more detail. God Bless!

I’m seeing a lot your comments. You’re being misled what the Catholic Church actually teaches. I’m here to help. I was raised Catholic without any awareness of what the faith actually was too. It’s important to start with the fundamentals. 1) There’s not one “Bible”. They all have different books. There’s actually the Protestant bible, Catholic Bible, Eastern Orthodox have an open cannon with a list of many acceptable books. It’s different from Catholic Bible. Ethiopian orthodox. Assyrian church of the East. They all have different books. And no Christian had a 66 book bible that matches Protestant bible for over 1,500 years after Jesus. 2) The church is continued through ‘Apostolic Succession’. It’s divine. The church fathers explicitly wrote this. It’s implicit in the New Testament in the ‘laying of hands’. Explicit in the Old Testament. Divine succession of the high priest. And Jesus modeled his church from the Old Testament. 3) The most important reason we go to church is to receive the real presence of Jesus Christ in The Eucharist. You can only receive this in the Catholic, Orthodox and Assyrian church of the East churches. Because they have divine apostolic succession. Brant Pitre is my favorite teacher. He’s on Catholic Productions. Also the Catholic miracles helped me a lot confirming the faith. Eucharist miracles. Padre Pío. Marian apparitions.

@@jzak5723 God never gave anyone the authority to contradict His Truth. The Church is prophesied by St. Paul (2 Thess. 2) to go into Apostasy before Christ comes again. The Church is not and has never been perfect. See Christ's letters to the Churches in the Apocalypse and the admonitions of the Apostles in the Epistles of the New Testament. The Sacred Scriptures are God's Word to us and the gospel of Mary is not found there. This is huge in Catholicism, and it is all based on "Authority" as you say. So then, there is something also wrong with the Catholic idea of its own authority. Whenever it was that the Catholic Church began to contradict her own teachings, that was and is the time for the Faithful to watch out!

9 times of 10, if not more, the dogmas and doctrine didn't have to be defined in text as it was presumed every one was on the same page. Mary is the New Eve (Gen 3:15, Luke 1:38, Jn 2:4, Jn 19:26, Gal 4:4, Rev 12:1, Rev 12:17) IMMACULATE CONCEPTION: As Eve was created sinless, the New Eve was born unstained by original sin. How can the New Eve be inferior to the old? ASSUMPTION OF MARY: If Adam and Eve had obeyed God, they would have entered heaven body and soul. Since the new creation is the fulfillment of the failure of the old, Jesus, the New Adam, and Mary, the New Eve, obeyed God perfectly. Because of their perfect obedience, Jesus and Mary entered heaven body and soul. CO-REDEMPTRIX: Both Adam and Eve sinned but it was Adam's sin that caused the downfall. Nevetheless, Eve was Co-Transgressor as she played a vital part in man's downfall. In a similar manner, although Jesus' obedience redeemed man, Mary was Co-Redemptrix as she played a vital role in man's redemption. Eve listens to a fallen angel, sins, and tempts Adam who brings the fall of man. Mary listens to an Angel, accepts God's plan, gives birth toJesus who is the redeemer of man. MEDIATRIX OF ALL GRACES: Mary is Mediatrix of All Graces because Mary gives birth to Jesus who reconciles man to God so we can receive God's grace. Also through Mary's intercessory prayers, we receive God's grace as displayed at the wedding at Cana when Mary asked Jesus for help and he truned water into wine. It is not Mary's grace, but God's grace that we receive through Mary's intercession. Mary is the New Ark of the Covenant (Ex 40:34-35, Lk 1:35), (2 Sam 6:1-11, Lk 1:39), (2 Sam 6:14, Lk 1:43), (2 Sam 6:15, Lk 1:42), (2 Sam 6:9, Lk 1:43), ( 2 Sam 6:11, Lk 1:56), (2 Sam 6:11, Lk 1:39-45), (Ex 16:33-34, Ex 25:16, Num 17:10, Heb 9:5), (Rev 11:19, Rev 12:1) Prefigured in Jephthah's daughter (Luke 1:34,38 Judges 11:35-39) EVER VIRGIN: No man could touch the Ark (2 Sam 6:7). Similarly no man could touch Mary the New Ark of the covenant. Mary's viriginy upholds the divinity of Jesus. The Ark's main purpose was to bring the presence of God to his people. Similarly, the New Ark's main purpose was to bring the prescence of Jesus (God/Man) to the world. Sacred vessles set aside for God, cannot be used for normal use. Like a goblet used in worship cannot be used to drink wine at dinner. Simiarly Mary's womb set aside to bring God's prescence into the world cannot be used for normal use. Luke in 1:34,38 was alluding to Jephthah's daughter in Judges 11 who accepted the will of her father and was ever virgin. Likewise because Mary accepted God the Father's will, she became ever virgin. Her womb dedicated to God, could not be used for normal activity.

But timelines are meaningless when it comes gto truth. Because I see this same doctrine at work in Babylonian religions, of which Islam is a descendant. The god of the moon...the sun god...Isis. Ishmael and Hagar etc etc. Sorry, this doctrine of Mary being without sin, the mother of us all, eternal virgin...all of this is straight out of Babylon. yup, maryology is a false doctrine. mary was clearly not a virgin... Jesus had brothers and sisters. i suspect the catholic church and the roman empire combined to create this false doctrine as part of pagan religion (the mother-son god relationship, in pagan religions in order to draw converts) why would rome do this? to draw more converts to "Christianity". the reason rome accepted Christianity as state religion, is that it taught not to rebel against authority.. the more converts, the less rebellion...

No. The RCC didn't make it up. Satan merely continued many of these kinds of belief before hand: - Greek mythology teaches that Dionysus, the god of wine, was born out of the union of his human mother, Semele, and the god Zeus. - In ancient Assyrian mythology, Semiramis, wife of Nimrod, gave birth to Tammuz, who was supposedly conceived by a sunbeam. - That legend was absorbed into Egyptian mythology, where the two are known as Isis and Osiris. - In India the same tale is told of Isi and Iswara. - The Chinese have evidence of an ancient mother cult known as the Shing Moo. Their artwork, picturing the holy mother holding a baby in her arms, looks strikingly similar to RCC'S art portraying Mary. - In Phoenicia it was Ashtoreth, and Baal was the child. - One legend about Buddha claims he was miraculously conceived when an elephant entered his mother’s belly. Ten months later Buddha was born. - Olympias, the mother of Alexander the Great, often asserted that he was conceived by the gods. Only this time it seems to be more effective cause Jesus Christ is attached to it. Repent. Get out of Babylon, the Harlot.

Marian wisdom can begin with a fundamental understanding of the cyclical nature of reality (God). Represented by the snake in many creation myths, the living cycle has a trinity of a beginning (head), a middle and end (tail). As above so below, the sexes were created in the image of God's cyclical nature where Mother is the head and opening to all beginnings and Father holds the tail to all endings (through which the sowing of seeds allow for the next great matriarchal rebirth). The joining of the two (symbolized by the Ouroborus or the marriage ring) is the sacred union needed in assuring the creation and continuation of new life cycles. To speak of the present day God as "Our Father" is simply an admission to our collective positioning within the bigger cycle. As all mothers have direct experience with the creator quality of birthing, so is the direct experience of rebirthing the divinity within (baptism) belong to that which is spiritually matriarchal. (John 3, verse 3-8). Sekhmet statues (ancient Egyptian) carry most of their weight in symbolic memory of what was a mother culture dedicated to the direct experience of baptism. As the leg shaped hairlocks extend from maternal breasts to the womb of rebirth, the lioness's head proportions are such that they highlight the bust of a second animal figure. The Lioness's ears as eyes and eyes as nose (nostrils) brings to life the figure of a reptile. 'Neath the halo headress of the solar egg, the lioness's egg fertilization process being internal (Set) and the reptile's egg fertilization process being external (Setting), such being key components to the safety of entering the trans-egoic or "born again" state. The life threatening fear associated with the predatory nature of a lion and/or crocodile encounter are reflective of the intense ego death experiences associated with the transpersonal awakening process. In spiritually matriarchal times, illumination could be seen as wearing the false beard (ancient Egyptian funerary "ego" death mask) as the high state of cyclical self knowing; high awareness of both our upper matriarchal half and our lower (later) patriarchal half (compared with a mini lower body replica, an "as above so below" tail end beard extension); in full recognition of her civilizational Underworld, her inevitable cyclical destiny. The male pharaoh wears his beard tapered in reverse, indicating a pointing upwards towards the patriarchal head, divine representative of God's tail end cycle. Mary Magdalene's anointing and wiping of Jesus's feet with her hair can then be seen as head to tail (toe) imagery as she descends her matriarchal head to his patriarchal feet, thus reenacting the high understanding of the divine cyclical process. (John 12:3) To carry the Ankh (now the female symbol ♀️) was perhaps to symbolically carry that upper and lower understanding. As the upper matriarchal womb symbolised the fertile birthing of civilization, below, the now Christian cross is carried to place emphasis on the lower (later) "End Times" Father principle of the great cycle. Lord Ganesha, the elephant headed Hindu diety, displays a cyclical head to trunk symbolism and points to the Mother head of his matriarchal elephant society. Ganesha (like the elephant) wears God's cyclical nature on his face. A whole temple was dedicated to the ancient Egyptian goddess Hathor, who is the matriarchal "Uterus" personified. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gGHQYa2AiKp5gZI "See all women as mothers, serve them as your mother. When you see the entire world as the mother, the ego falls away. See everything as Mother and you will know God." - Neem Karoli Baba
