For all those who suggest that those of us who protested the spectacle of the Olympics last Friday are not educated: Da Vinci's "The Last Supper" was finished in 1498. Van Bijlert's "Festin des Dieux" was painted in 1635, as a paganization of Da Vinci's already famous work, since that feast of Dionysus was usually illustrated in forests and fields, according to Greco-Latin literature, but as an act of rebellion to the numerous religious commissions, they took the image of the table, changed the appearance of the central figure to make it look like Christ and 'expanded' the concept of the Holy Supper to a pagan polytheistic one. This was done in countless works (e.g. Balen's Feast of the Gods and Jan 1615), all as a mockery, correction, substitution or even cancellation of biblical messages. I live from and I have been in the art world all my life (those from the Esc Luccetti or fellow Art students at the Universidad del Sagrado can confirm this fact). I am very educated in this field and have done fourteen exhibitions and participated in more than 25 collective exhibitions in and outside of PR (winner of the UNESCO prize, as outstanding painter, 1996). My favorite period was the Renaissance. Believe me, I know a little of what I am talking about. The tableau at the Opening Ceremony had ten people to the left and six people to the right of a female DJ with a round head ornament. All were arranged along the side of a catwalk. The tableau also featured the god Dionysus emerging from a platter in the center of the runway. The entire opening ceremony was three hours 45 minutes. The shot of the tableau was only 45 seconds. People are getting their shorts tied up in a knot over a shot that lasted 0.33% of the entire ceremony.

I do not agree with paintings of Jesus or God. But if it is the feast of the gods as they say, the painting of those false gods is newer than the last supper. So it most likely looks like the false gods painting copied the last supper painting.

Then the commentators on all channels should have a play by play of the ceremony so they can describe what each act is to the viewers. They could have avoided all this. And Whoopi, the Olympics belongs to the world. We support it as taxpayers so why should we have to change the channel?
