I am going wayyy back when (19610-1993😊When I lived in Charleston SC I would go to John’s Island to my uncles place and put in, throw and cast net and catch live shrimp. Then fish a line adorned with live shrimp under a cork. Love me some specs for sure. Back then there was no limit and they were sooo good. Live in central part of Louisiana now.

Great video cuz, here in SW Louisiana around Hackberry, I have only seen 1 redfish and two trout floating around, so we did pretty good here as far as the fish kill went. Went this weekend and caught a few reds and big fat blue cat. God bless and see you on the next one.

I live down the road from you and I dipped the kayak by my house yesterday and saw at least a dozen dead fish but all redfish. Looks like the bass and other species that live further north didn't feel it too much. But I did see a couple dead pelicans sadly.

I caught a 22 inch speckled trout in Ft Myers. It was full of worms, and I was fishing for Snook so I was disappointed. If I was using light tackle it might have been a record. But I was using a deep sea pole with and line with 40lb. Test.

Good to see they aren’t all dead. Fish kills make room for the survivors to get bigger and reproduce more.

In Pensacola we had a big fish kill. Mostly mullet but it was thousands.

Hey Vinny, are you guys allowed to use a trailer hook (you know like the ones that are used on bass spinner baits. They are also known as stinger hooks) on your jigs? We can use them up here in Michigan and I contacted Florida FWC to find out if they could be used down there and I was told that they were considered to be an assist hook and that they could be used. So if you are getting fish that are short striking (or biting off the tails) you might want to try running a trailer/stinger/assist hook off your jig. They really can make a difference. Tight lines.

Only time you leave fish to find fish is when youre in a tournament and all youre catching is small ones lol.

I bet the trout moved to the shallow flats/oyster beds as the water warmed up.

7:11 fish kills are Nothing new. It’s no big deal. It happens all the time all over around the world. This is a natural occurrence. The fish kills you worry about are the ones when the weather is great and all the sudden all your fish are dead that’s the ones to worry about. people need to remember the department of wildlife and fisheries do this not as a warning to fisherman but so that they can come back and say well. Hey, we need to put another limit on another species of fish because there’s not enough of them they’re promoting propaganda. The department of wildlife and fisheries needs to be abolished and completely rewritten because a cop shouldn’t be able to pull you over just because he sees you and that’s what game wardens do they pull you over and check you no matter what you’re doing where you’re doing what you’re doing something illegal or not game wardens don’t have to abide by your private property. If you have a close gate, you have a close fence doesn’t matter they can enter it, even though the supreme court has stated your vehicle is an extension of your home not to the wildlife agents. They can enter whenever they want under some stupid Fields act that allows him to cross any gate at any time whenever they want locked or unlocked. This is the department of wildlife and fisheries. This is what they do, I’m not talking about the individual agents. I’m talking about the agency it’s south it has numerous unconstitutional practices. There are unconstitutional for police officers, but for some reason wildlife agents are above the law this should not be again I’m not attacking the individual field agents. They’re doing the job that their bosses told them to do and that why the department of wildlife and fisheries in Louisiana needs to be completely stripped and rebuilt. How about we let Donald Trump and the department of efficiency with Elon musk, running it let them investigate it, Donald Trump’s people need to investigate the department of wildlife and fisheries we need them to come in and declare the fields act unconstitutional.
