The south no longer has southern hospitality mostly due to the transplants that moved there. When I used to live in Georgia, I rarely met people who were born there. When I did meet people who were from Georgia, they typically were nice and had southern hospitality.

As a Black man from the Mississippi delta it’s true to the fullest extent, but I will say in the delta we still have that hospitality and black pride still alive!! We hunt, fish and still respect one another!! It has changed tremendously, yes it has but it’s still some remnants of that not too distant past that still lives on brother…

Langston is the best storyteller alive ☺️ always coming with the essence, passion, and facts. We're existing in what I call an inhumane corporate prison that was once called a community, as John Trudell would say a place where spirits get eaten. What kind of life is this?

I’m from Honolulu Hawaii, and it’s not the same there either. Hawaii had the aloha spirit, it’s no longer like that anymore. Hawaii is literally New York City on an island. Every time I go back home, it literally disgusts me.
@highlovevibration8 күн бұрын
Wow, that's insane and sad as h€ll 😦 if you find the time, can you get into a little more detail on how it changed..
@Shai82128 күн бұрын
@ when I was growing up, Hawaii always had that aloha spirit. there were fruit trees, growing everywhere, flower, growing everywhere. It literally smelt like flowers and The ocean. People were kind had a family which we call it Ohana Spirit. Now it’s a bunch of buildings with beaches you now have to pay to get on two and that’s if you can get onto because the wealthy has came to Hawaii and blocked off beaches made them private just for them. Even the hiking trails used to be free in a calm place to go walking on you now have to pay and Pay for parking. And it’s not cheap! It’s horrible. I watched a video of the natives of Hawaii and they would just cry because it’s not their home anymore. you can barely live in Hawaii anymore because of the Airbnb business, Hawaii has turned into just a vacation destination. Everybody wants to rent out Airbnb‘s instead of homes. And if you’re not wealthy, don’t even think about buying a home anymore! It’s horrible Waikiki used to be a calm beach now it’s wall-to-wall people you can’t even barely walk around without bumping into anyone, it’s nothing but New York City on an island.

@Shai8212 😥 that's so d@mn sad, I've always wanted to visit, but now, idk...thankyou for responding 💜 I just remembered how my grandfather used to go on and on about Hawaii when I was a child, he loved it there.
@Shai82128 күн бұрын
@ you should still visit you would still love it. I still love it because it’s home for me. I just know it’s not the old Hawaii anymore which is heartbreaking. But there are other islands. You can visit that still have the old Hawaiian authentic hospitality like Kauai and Maui. We call it the aloha spirit 🤙🏽

There are some towns in Alabama that still have the southern hospitality. I have witnessed it firsthand. Where I'm from people ignore one another and everyone has to get it out of the mud themselves. Now in the Mexican Community down the street it's very intact. That is a real Community where the dollar still circulates amongst the people. I've heard of Mexicans put inside of their duties to help build a house or renovate houses overnight for their family members or Neighbors.

My parents hometown is still like that. It's a small town and it's becoming more modern but they're still years behind. They built the 1st Walmart in my lifetime and I'm in my early 30's so that lets you know how far behind they are. You can still get that in some places but you trade that for some conveniences we have on the daily. Example they didnt get a gym until 6 yrs ago. I visit once a yr but that's it
