Really good to hear that you liked the skate so much. I was a little apprehensive that they would be super low quality, or flimsy, but it seems they are pretty solid. Love the bravery of going with a soulframe and the rivets.
@TheJakeSpace8 ай бұрын
Very curious about this skate, definitely going to give it a shot. The rivets on the cuffs are to me a cool thing as I’ve definitely lost a few cuff bolts on my go to Aeons 😂
@WiffleAxe8 ай бұрын
Removable cuffs and soulplates are cool if you like to customize i guess, but IMO replacing parts once a skate is broken in never feels right. I've always set up my skates and skated them into the ground as is, only switching wheels and bearings. I don't care about customization so riveting everything actually sounds pretty great to me- the less screws that can come loose, the better.

from what I remember, he said these are 41/42 and that it fits well even though he usually has to use a 43 size (because the low part of the liner is thinner)

I think it was just kind of lazy to not change the frame to take advantage of the soulframe aspect. I'm sure it was easier/cheaper not to redesign the frame but as an entry level skate it would be a bigger advantage to new skaters to be lower and have a wider split(both of which you should get with a soulframe).
@maneotis4g63t8 ай бұрын
You’re projecting your goals over the top of theirs and you’re making assumptions about what a beginner skater needs which may be different for everyone
@davidb49798 ай бұрын
@@maneotis4g63t I can't think of any circumstance in which more stability and less wheel bite wouldn't directly benefit a new skater but there I go assuming again. Though I guess if you make it as hard as possible for the new skater anything after that will be easy and their accuracy will be insane. Well looks like I can think of a circumstance you're point has been proven 😆
@ryn_pail8 ай бұрын
@davidb4979 I got em. They're lower and lighter than any of my Them, Roces, Salo, and Mesmers with TNEC frames installed or otherwise. Ricardo "expected" them to be lower based on Aeon mechanics. But I'm telling you as i stand in them, these are stable and possibly one if not the lowest on the market. And the soul is made of the hard frame material, so they potentially slide faster for longer than an Aeon.

I really dont understand this "recykled" Razors for 250 euro. A skate that has no screws but rivets and is, as you say, produced as "cheaply as possible" ...should have a maximum price of 90 euro. Anyone with a bit IQ prefers to buy standard M12 UFS skates, which are sold for 100-150 euros and is a high-end skate with a proven quality.
