I agree with Moe's take about winning 10 games with Minshew at QB. I saw a statistic that Minshew performed at an elite level with two TE personnel groups. He's never in his career played with the offensive firepower he has this season with the Raiders. I predict we go 11-6 in 2024, and we win the West.

Cool episode, i laughed at Mo saying "stupid" about the Falcons move, i remember when i was watching i was like are you serious? Falcons really tried to mess up the first round and nearly made it, i was mad they took Penix Jr. because they didn't need a quarterback so hopefully they'll trade him in the next 2 years. I'm happy with what Telesco did even if the Bowers move surprised me, i didn't see any of the guys the Raiders selected in mock drafts i saw through the year but i really thought Bowers was gonna go to Green Bay and i thought Powers-Johnson was gonna get drafted by Cleveland, glad i was wrong.

The truth is, all the top qb’s were gone before 13. So after that, there is no rookie out there that would be better than O’Connell and Minshew! Absolutely none! So we good for now! Telesco picked very wisely! Most likely he will not be fired cause of these picks. They are all very solid and we have starters.

I don't agree that JPJ in the 2nd means that the coaches thought the IOL need was bigger than RT - it was simply a question of talent and value. JPJ had a 1st round grade, and there wasn't a RT option left with higher than a late 2nd round grade.

Would just like to point out that AOC was not known as a limited mobility QB while at Purdue. He was told to stay in the pocket and did. He was also a 4th round QB that didnt take all the snaps in camp. Kid handled himself well under the circumstances

Also, most draft scouting reports look like this on O’Connell: Weaknesses: - Unathletic quarterback who can't drive the deep ball effectively without putting too much air under his passes - He had a chance to be drafted higher following the 2021 season but after a down year in 2022 it looks like his backup level ceiling was unearthed - Isn't a threat to run and sometimes looks like a statue in the pocket. Looks like a relic of the past. - Has an exaggerated elongated release and as a result, he struggles to get the pass off quickly - His arm is just ok but far from great, and O'Connell loses accuracy and velocity when he is moved off his spot.

@SIlverBlackToday except every single network and article suggests they needed a QB. Didn't see the same for any other team that drafted a QB and had them start last year. AOC outplayed all of them except Young but the Raiders needed a QB. It was always a weird talking point. Other rookie QB's got some leeway but not AOC for some reason.

It goes into probability vs possibilities it's possible for aoc or minshew to do well but the probability that a 4th round non athletic qb and a 6 round journey man will consistently compete with Kermit the Magic Man in KC or all the other 1st round more athletic and skilled quarterbacks is borderline insanity. Our fans are so desperate for mediocrity in my opinion, going nowhere fast and thrilled to death about it. We are literally going into the season with 2 bottom 1/3 of the league quarterback and are okay with just winning games which put us in the same position a year from now. We still will have to give up draft capital to go get a top tier franchise quarterback who actually already has the skills to compete coming into the league like other premium quarterback play.

Even if Pennix was available at 13 they only had eyes on Caleb and Daniels but we knew months ago the price was to high. Because Pennix wasn’t available it gave Tommy T and AP cover but I’m glad they didn’t over pay for a QB and we’re only willing to get Caleb and Daniels

Hondo reported that the cost to go to #1 was 3x 1sts + 3x 2nds. To be honest, I'd have done that to get Williams - he has by far the best chance of success. I wouldn't have done anything close to go to #2 or #3 for Maye or Daniels - far higher bust potential with them.

I don't think so. Our offense needed some juice, and some youth. I think tucker, Meyer, bower, and Zeus gives us a nice young core to lean on for many years. Our defense was beast last year, and it only got better.

When Brandon Facyson is penciled in to be your Opening Day CB#1,,,,,,, you did not Ace the draft. A waiver wire cast off, Jack Jones, is our CB#2. That guy has more Red Flags than China. He is also the smallest player on the team and stands no chance against WRs like Keenan Allen, Justin Jefferson, DK Metcalf, AJ Brown or Deebo Samuels.
