I think it's kind of weird how he says he isnt good at Lucian but other's have said it's good. Bjerg himself said he learns a lot from watching people like Knight play Lucian. I DO agree his other marksmen arent good, but his Lucian is good. I mean the guy has been Challenger for a while now and he has a 60% winrate on it in SoloQ. He's even played it in competitive before.

@@necromancealpha4620 You're correct but lately Bjerg has been playing Lucian in solo q, and when teams go out of the way to perma ban it against a team, that means someone on TSM has been utilizing Lucian in scrims, and have good enough results for teams to ban it. The person they're banning Lucian for is likely Bjerg, but in game 3, FLY banned Lucian in second round of bans after TSM had picked Ashe and TF already, and that ban could only ever affect BB, so maybe BB's flexed it in scrims as well, or they messed up that ban. TL did the same thing the day before with the Lucian bans btw.

@@gggg889 It could be a flex but from what we know, it's mainly because of BB. He played it in both the C9 and TL series and won with him. Lucian also hard counters GP which is a champ that Solo Impact and Licorice all play. And I mainly don't base things off soloq since that's mainly just for practice. Doublelift had a good win rate since Senna came out in soloq but was terrible on the champ up until that series with TL.

@@VYKNIGHT well no, the series was really close and FlyQuest had yet to lose a single series in the playoffs while TSM lost one series. This is the whole point of double elims. Generally in grand finals, the player/team coming from losers bracket resets the bracket when they beat the team from winners, dropping them from winners to losers side, then they play a 2nd set. Look up any fighting game tournament, this is how they do it. It's fair because the whole idea of double elim is every player/team is allowed to lose once before being eliminated on their 2nd loss. FlyQuest is not given that chance because of LCS's weird *partially* double elimination playoff format

Whats crazy is the last time tsm won lcs before now was with DL in 2017 spring and summer. TSM drop him, he signs with TL(I think TL was dead last in the split before he got signed). Goes on to win LCS 2018-2019, 2 years straight spring and summer. Loses spring 2020, TL drops him, he signs back with TSM and goes on to win lcs summer split and gets 1st seed at worlds. First time TSM has won since 2017 and it was with DL. In the past 4 years DL has won 7 LCS titles and has only lost one split. Yet none of the casters or media talk about that, its just always about bjergson. Bjergson is insane as well but nobody mentions these things about DL.

"Bjergson is playing really well and it would feel really bad if we couldn't get him to worlds." "Bjergson is hard carrying us right now". It's not that DL isn't part of the conversation, it's that he's been turning the conversation to be about Bjergson himself. It just so happened that the "Game 5 Zilean" storyline was insane, and even though "DL Senna redemption arc" got us to that game 5 the meme of Bjerg photo-shopped to look like Zil is what people remember.

I have a feeling humble DL has better play making potential than overconfident DL. Bjerg can handle the pressure to perform in mid lane and the pressure focused on him (constant bans from every team, multiple attempted ganks mid with no reward for the enemy team, ect.) without giving up much because he can also just play the meta if they hit his signature picks. Bjerg absorbs a lot of the pressure that would normally be put on DL, and I think they make a good pair. That and Spica has been playing out of his mind. Can't wait to see non-NA teams let through his Nid and regret it. Hoping that happens and it doesn't flop internationally.

Well tbh Bjerg was good during the whole split, it was just hard to see because the rest of the team wasnt that great. The only reason play-offs went well for TSM is Spica getting his shit together. His setups allowed BB to step up, and his team fighting allowed bot to look good in mid-late game.

The Lucian ban was DEFINITELY for brokenblade not bjerg, if you see broken blades professional Lucian play, while they don’t have super success with it he looks really comfortable on it, meaning he’s probably had some good scrims on it. And on top of that I don’t think Bjergs Lucian solo queue stats really reflect his ability to play Lucian professionally, especially with a team like TSM where he has 4 teammates dedicated to getting him a lead. Feel like getting camped by zac might help in solo queue but not so much in the finals. I think in hindsight they probably should’ve let it through early just to see how comfortable TSM was with it, but it’s an understandable ban for sure.

To be fair, Sneaky could still just be saying Bjergsen's Lucian isn't good from eye-test rather than solo Q stats. Maybe Sneaky sees bad ADC-specific mistakes that Bjergsen does on ADCs that we don't really notice and those mistakes don't show in the stats cause he covers for his bad ADC-specific mechanics with good general mechanics/macro decisions, etc, so he still wins the game, farms well and has a good score

Also, keep in mind, those stats are significantly lower than the stats of bjerg on traditional mid laners. Also, lucian, as an AD champ, is probably being counter picked in champ select by Bjerg when his team needs AD damage. For example, when he has an ap damage top laner and jungler. Further, the editor shows that bjergs 26th champ in solo Q is zili, a champ he is known for being excellent at playing. The point in that, is that pro players pick champs they want to practice playing when they are in Solo Q. Bjerg, according to sneaky, has recently spammed lucian in solo Q, because he wants to practice it, and/or to mislead other pro-players

Going into playoffs, they were something like 2W-9L against Ornn in 2020 spring/summer, and always looked terrible playing against it even when they won.
