I think opal is the prettiest gemstone on the planet. Lighter color opals look like the most brilliant rainbow was smashed with a hammer ,then fell the earth filling in the cracks. When I looked at that opal and saw that footprint I got goosebumps all over my body. I love looking at beautiful opal and so hope to someday incorporate a piece of black opal into a button lock knife I have. I also collect knives so they use a lot of abalone on those buttons and I'd love to use black opal instead! You just get lost looking into it and seeing all the different colors and shapes . It's the most amazing gemstone in my opinion!
