🌊 Banff Without a Car - Day 3: Exploring the Minnewanka Loop 🚲🚌
Join us on Day 3 of our Banff car-free travel series, where we take on the scenic Minnewanka Loop! 🌄 Today’s theme is all about water as we explore four stunning lakes just a few kilometers from downtown Banff. Thanks to Roam Transit Route 6 🚌 and rental bikes 🚲 (including e-bikes), it’s easy to navigate this breathtaking 28km loop.
Our first stop is the peaceful Cascade Ponds, perfect for a morning wander before the picnickers arrive. Then, we head to the iconic Lake Minnewanka - also known as the “Lake of Spirits” - where we enjoy a scenic cruise ⛴️ and take in the surrounding beauty. For those looking for a twist, the Beer Voyage Cruise 🍻 is a must-try, blending stunning views with craft beer tastings!
Next, we visit the picture-perfect Two Jack Lake 📸, famous for its jaw-dropping vistas. It's a photographer’s paradise! Finally, we wrap up at Johnson Lake, a top spot for a refreshing swim 🏊‍♀️ or a relaxing shoreline hike. The calm waters and serene atmosphere make it the perfect end to a water-filled adventure.
Along the way, we kept our eyes peeled for Banff's famous wildlife - bighorn sheep, elk, and maybe even a bear! 🐻
