Tip for any women who want this extravagant wedding that they dream of, don’t ever expect it to go perfect, my aunt’s cool as hell, had me DJ her wedding after never DJing before in my life and I did a nice job but point is she ended up hating her wedding bc it didn’t go specifically how she planned, so if you’re more worried about the actual wedding day than spending the rest of your life with someone, you’re probably gonna have a shifty time. The weird part is the wedding was beautiful and I don’t like formal things like weddings, funerals, family events, etc but hers was really cool. Never heard of playing My Chemical Romance, Yin Yang Twins, 90s R&B, Emo, and 2000s club rap and smooth alt rock but it happened. Our officiant was this big scary metal band member wearing black makeup saying lovy, sweet wedding shit and even used the word “fucking” in the ceremony in front of my uncle in law’s super Christian mom and sisters, and I wore a jacket from the marching band in MCR’s video for the Black Parade, and all of that was what went right, the shit that she hated had nothing to do with anything unorthodox from a normal wedding, she basically just freaked out over the little shit. Basically sorry for the entire story but my point is don’t expect everything to go perfect and exactly how you plan bc when it doesn’t, you’ll wish you just had a small generic wedding and kept it simple so girls, just keep that in mind when you’re dreaming about your big day, and remember that marriage is about the rest of the days AFTER that wedding day, not that one day when it’s supposed to be “your day.” Let the rest of those days be your day and don’t focus too much on that one wedding day, or you might end up hating your life bc you had unrealistic expectations. My aunt is known for just going with the flow and she still brings up how her wedding sucked when I’d say it was pretty damn good and like I said I hate family functions so that should tell you something.
