The disinfecting is pointless if you will just place it on the floor right after cleaning it. 😕 Even if you vacuum your carpet it will not be microbe free so your products will still have germs on them. 😅 Tbh I don’t think it’s necessary unless you handle your products with dirty hands prior to using them.

It's better, bc's 1. you know you don't use an expired product. After a few months of face, moisturizer is expired, same for serums... 2. every time we expose skin products there's also the possibility that bacteria will be cultivated there (we don't live in a sterilized world), so imagine you storing them for several months... It's become a petri-dish 3. It's more eco friendly

This is my dream skincare, just 1 or 2 products. Unfortunately, I have been battling moderate acne for years and have been doing trial and error to see which one works so I accumulated a bit of a small collection but hopefully, my skin would clear up someday. PS: I do use them for long as long as my skin can tolerate them without irritations, I made sure I am able to use them for what they are worth because, damn, skincare is expensive for me.

@@Gummybearkillerr I actually tried Adapalene for 4.5 months and it really did reduce my acne flare-ups but it is completely drying to me, i still have few random acnes and of course my acne marks contributed a lot to my face still looking sh-. XD I'm 2wks on benzoyl peroxide cream now but I don't like how it is very sun-sensitive even when using sunscreen. I tried short contact but it is still irritating. Also with bpo i need to apply it everyday just so not to have breakouts unlike with adapalene just every 6 days is enough for the breakout to be avoided. As to salicylic acid I think i did tried it before as soap and face wash (cosrx). Unfortunately it didn't help that much. I don't know if a cream would work or something. Right now I am contemplating of maybe going back to using adapalene for the time being. I dunno.

Any cosmetic has a shelf life once it's been opened. If you look at the container there's a little icon of a open jar with the timeframe it remains "fresh." It won't hurt you to use expired stuff, but you're wasting your money on products that are no longer as effective as they were formulated and you probably paid a lot of money for. That plus, if you're prone to acne, some products may start harboring unhealthy levels of bacteria if they are no longer shelf stable. This massive, probably expired collection combined with the "disinfection" process is sort of counter productive.

Wish my care products were this organized 😂 i can relate though...i have seasonal products due to my oily AND sensitive skin 🥲 If you have a daily skincare routine then these products would last about a year and a half at max...i know i go through 1-3 toners a year and 3 or so moisturizers a year. I have a ton of masks for those dry and hot days...or if i am breaking out or feel like poo. I have pimple patches, serums (2+ per year), sunscreen (2-3 per year as they are so small and i only use it for my face and neck), exfoliating cleansers for once a week, oil cleansers and water based cleansers (i go through 2-3 a year of each as well)...makes sense you have all these products! And agreed, it is good to let your skin breathe but overall it should be moisturized and you should use sun screen everyday due to uv rays that can cause skin cancer (love the sun but no to cancer)... May be overwhelming for people to see these lists of products, but better to age healthy and well than getting botox cause you shouldve started eye cream in your 20s (no hate for botox..i just prefer a routine over needles)

Honestly a certain amount of bacteria is healthy Depends what bacteria it is obviously. What disinfectant are you using? Did you know that disinfectant over use is a leading cause of antibiotic resistance and MRSA? Be really careful because disinfectants like benzalkonium chloride are actually really dangerous when they are used carelessly. Also bad for fertility, so always wear gloves and wash hands properly after using disinfectants like this. Best to use alcohol swabs, just soap, or a diluted vinegar tea tree wipe down. Use disinfectants like benzalkonium for real mess like messes with high likelihood of e coli.

If you're really that worried about bacteria, get a drawer then put a uv light in there then just blast the products. no need to put cleaning chemicals on your products. there are also uv fridges i think.
