2:13 for the crouch strat, i highly recommend waiting until it reloads. If you kill it at the speed in the video you will get an empty shotgun, but if you save the last hit until it reloads, you get a full shotgun

You also don't NEED to uncrouch to bait the second shot, it'll shoot again regardless of it you uncrouch or not, so it's safer to just stay crouched. It's really just crouch, hit it 3 times, then hit it 2 more times while it reloads. Hitting it 4 times prior/after the reload causes it to go into rage mode and you'll get stomped but if you save the last 2 hits for DURING reload you're safe. That's been my experience, anyway.

Important info on the nutcracker crouch strat. The first hit should not be into it's back, or it can walk backwards into you and kill you. Always hit it from the side or front to avoid this. Also, make sure to only get it down to one hp while it's taking its second shot. Taking it to one hp will make it shoot, reload and walk around much faster. So make sure to get the last two hits as it takes its second shot, because then it's reloading and can't kill you in rage mode.

I'm almost certain this is wrong. It's the opposite. You want to hit it from the side or the back, NOT the front. The first thing it will do when you land the first hit is step forwards slightly. Keep in mind, "forwards" in this case is in relation to where his feet are pointing, NOT his head.

@@arstulex I find that where his feet are pointing is irrelevant. Whenever I hit his back, as in, the back of his torso, he takes steps while he turns his body towards me and kills me by walking. But when you hit him from the side or in the face, he doesn't have to turn as much to face you, so he starts aiming instead of moving. Think about it, the more time he takes to actually look into your direction, the more time it takes until he starts aiming while standing still, so hitting him from behind gives him the most time to take steps while trying to look at you before he starts standing still to take his shot. So in my experience, I stand by what I said, hit his front or side, never his back.

@@ardynizunia9709 His feet are the 'true' direction he is facing, since his torso rotates independently while scanning. If you aggro him by sneaking up and swinging at him during his 'scanning' phase, he will take a step in the direction his feet are facing as he prepares to shoot at you. In contrast, if you aggro him by allowing yourself to be spotted during his scanning phase he will not move at all before the first shot. I can recreate this with a good level of consistency. I'm somewhat tempted to record footage of this.

In my method, I always try to hit him from the front half, so the face or his sides but more towards the front, that way, he sees me immediately as I hit him and never takes a step. Soooo, what are we arguing? I was talking about torso position all along when talking about his front, as I clarified in my first response to you. And his "true" front doesn't matter, because with the right execution, he doesn't take a single step, so only his torsos orientation matters.

@@ardynizunia9709 The problem here is that if that's truly what you meant to begin with then you worded your original comment _incredibly_ poorly. What you should have said, quite simply, is that you should make sure he spots you before you hit him, which completely eliminates the possibility of him walking at all. Instead you made specific references to direction such as "it can walk _backwards_ into you and kill you" which make no sense if you understand how the Nutcracker actually works. What you're saying NOW is indeed true but that's not what you communicated in your original comment, and you should probably revise it to prevent additional confusion. To reiterate, you can sneak up on him and attack him during his scanning phase, but by doing this he will always step forward (the direction his legs are facing) when doing so. You don't need to wait for him to be looking in your direction or move in front of his vision, you just need to not stand in front of his feet.

4:40 From my experience/limited testing, the "approximate value" is the true value of the items on the moon divided by the percentage the company is buying at, at that time. So on the first day of quota when the company is buying at ~30%, the approximate value is about 3x the true value of the items outside. Edit - further testing from other people in the comments has proven this to be incorrect, guess I just got (un)lucky with the scan value change when I tested depositing items to line up with my hypothesis

@@thekilla1234 That was my assumption, but I agree it would be better to just show the full value of the items. After all, when you scan an item in game it shows the full value it would sell for, not lowered value it would be bought at if sold that day

If that were true, the approximate value would get closer to being accurate on days 2 and 3, but it doesn't. For example, assurance always shows about 1000-1500 regardless of what day it is. Based on my testing, it seems to be completely bugged. I tried collecting objects one at a time and rescanning each time, and the object count would update correctly but the approximate value was all over the place. Sometimes it would even rise after collecting an object.

@@michaelwilkins1664 indeed, full cleared experimentation and assurance multiple times usually the number showed was 40% to 90% of the value of items present in the facility, regardless of day. (Only in one test it got under the amount on the monitor so further testing would be required. It showed 112% somehow.)

Ok super duper useful tip for bee hives : you can just place them on the rail close the ship, it will count. If you see the red pop up it's ok. No need to jump on the railing or on the ship, just place them close to the ship on the outside. I really wonder why no one ever mentions it, although it's super logical and super easy to find it by yourself as i did.

@@BunnyChannel918 on the ship you have the rail that kinda goes around the ship. On this rail you can more or less place objects closer or further from the ship itself. When you are on the rail outside, just walk right in front of the ship. You get your head bonking onto the ship's wall. Drop the hive or any object. It will count as in the ship. This tip is vital when you have 3 or more hives that you wouldnt be able to recover in the ship by the time you leave the moon. It's really hard to explain but really easy to show

Specific areas along the railing actually count as inside the ship, so they will stay there even if you enter orbit. I found this out on accident a few weeks ago and have been using it whenever I see more than one beehive by the ship.

Adding a slowed down version of the Nutcracker demonstration might better help demonstrate when you're talking through the process like at 2:52. Having a clip ready for the ladder clipping tip could also help, but the final version worked too! Lastly, getting someone you trust to help you out, even if just to stand somewhere like the fire exit would better show off the trick with jumping with a popped Jester. Great video as usual! Your tips are really helpful for learning a lot of tricks the game has to offer, and they're greatly appreciated.

I remember using 10:45 for thumpers and wondering if I could use it on coil heads. And to my amazement, it did work. It also works on Brackens, but 9/10 I fail at that. At least when I die, it's still stuck there. Haven't had a chance to test it with a jester, but I assume they'd jump off.

About the bees, i always just do the normal jump on the back of the ship and let the bees there. 90% of the time they dont disappear, they only disappear when the item dont get "checked" by the ship

For crouch sprint, if you have problems pushing buttons fast enough, you can rebind crouch for c or any key you are feeling comfortable to push

another tip for crouch running, myself and a lot of other lethal players ive talked to bind a side mouse button to either control in their mouse software or crouch in game to make crouch running more comfortable, i highly recommend it!!

As for the second tip where you can place items on the ship- it isnt 100% consistent. Ive donr it a few times, ususlly it works, but once, it didnt collect the items. Luckily, i am big brain, so i moved the locker below the items and jumped on it, then i picked up the items while clipping into the top of the ship. THEN thry collected, meaning that it didnt collect immediately when i put them on the ship.

No, it just shoots down at you. It locks on to your position, at around shoulder height, waits about a second and shoots at that position. Crouching evades this shot, but if you dont uncrouch he'll just shoot you.

Wish I knew that first one. I was in a crazy situation where dropping items was the only way to maximize profit. So, basically, one of the other players had the worst beehive placement ever. One at the door of the ship and one at the other end of the ship. Everyone else had died to dogs, and I was stuck on top of the ship until midnight with four items in my inventory. I couldn't drop my items off the bee cheese spot since there was a beehive there and it would be too risky (I was critically injured). Honestly, I should've sacrificed the items anyway, none of them were anything crazy. If I knew I could drop them on top of the ship everything would have been so much easier.

Do shotguns have like a weird damage radius? More than a few times I've tried shooting a nutcracker or a spider and had the first shot and sometimes even the second shot deal no damage.

Just a bug at the moment. If this happens you need to shoot from a different angle. Spiders are also notorious for being buggy in regards to shotgun hit registration.

During a solo vanilla run I was holding only a flashlight and a mask totally vulnerable. A snare flea fell on my face and I was about to die but I thought "I want to do a wacky experiment, might as well die from the mask", I took it from the floor and put it on my face, and the bug fell off (not died just fell). I didn't transform either, its like they cancelled each other. Can someone confirm? I've been trying to replicate it but the situation did not happen organically in-game yet.

You can go to company at any time throughout the days, it won’t count towards a day. It’s mainly used on 1st day to get your store loot without wasting time on your moons. Doing this on high quota runs is difficult considering if you try to do it on the 2nd or 3rd day you will have to rebuy any T3 moons.
