There exists 1 quite possibly legit passion-project that is hosted using files that were reverse-engineered from the client by 1 guy. Cant say for sure cause the private scene in L2 was always about profit and even some legendary servers would fall flat if given the opportunities that exists now. As for reborn its funny cause promotiuon through twitch via wievbotting the streamers they choose was the only thing that saved them cause i was there since closed beta and they basically gave their friends a headstart by promising a wipe after "beta tests" which were conducted on 1x rates (?? :D) and were supposed to be followed by a wipe which never came but they just purged the message boards full of bug reports and questions, i immedietely left cause i saw way better projects turn to scam or just fail without shooting themselves in a leg like that. In my opinion what they did to you was quite shitty but personally i would not expect anything else. Since you didint do any research on who you are dealing with before giving them free poromotion all you can do is complain about it cause you dont have ncsofts permission to create content with their assets either and Reborn is cosy in the open source emulation greyzone while ncsoft dosent give a fk since whales on retail make them enough.

You're generally right, but keep in mind that generally MMORPGs that give you the option to donate (but don't force you) and give you royalties are fine, it's a nice gesture. Corrupt would be that the items they give you in exchange for donation have statistics that improve your performance in the game. That's cheating, believe me since I play this type of games it could show a huge list

Now you are free.... I was SO tempted to start on reborn several months ago, because L2 was the best game i ve ever played in my life (2004-2011 Devianne server). But the time you have to invest is mindblowing...i consider L2 to be a ''Time vortex'' that sucks your life out from a pc monitor. We are not kids anymore and Life has to go on, i still hop in to YT pvp vids just to kind of reminding me of that beatifull past times ingame, thats how much i love this game. @@Ceburekas i posted this to emphasize that the problem with L2 is Time, not so much the money aspect, of course they have to make some money even to run the machines, backups etc. But time...we dont have unlimited time to waste, even in this beautifull game. When i was finished with L2, i stopped gaming alltogether! Nothing compares to L2, that said , my advice is to stop wasting time on games - any game. Go out....feel the life!

from c3 until H5 on official, we had 9 man bot trains in catacombs 24/7 (l2walker l2superman) and we bought adena from EBAY chinese farmers, this game was always corrupted.. but man did we have fun and good pvp...

I just can't believe how many people pay just for a month. And ofc no guarantees in what you are downloading. It's very sketchy...

Dear Ceburekas, After watching your video, I wanted to share my thoughts with you. Firstly, I have played on L2 Reborn and found it to be a great low rate server. I agree with you about private servers making money through donations and the negative impact this can have on the player community, such as server wipes and rebranding to attract new donors. However, it's important to note that Lineage is a 20-year-old game, and having 2-3k active players is still quite impressive considering many new games fail and close within a year of release. While it can be tiring to start over on low rate servers, I have always hoped for a remake of the game on new engines. As for time-wasting, I have to disagree. Farming for Adenas may seem like a waste of time, but it offers a sense of satisfaction and joy. Even if we look back and consider it wasted time, the experience of playing the game was enjoyable, and the nostalgia always hits me to go back and play for a few days, weeks, or even months. It's understandable that we rely on private servers as there are no official servers available. The admins of these servers have a side-job to run them, and I don't mind giving them the opportunity to make some extra money. Regarding L2 Reborn, it provided me with a lot of fun during my short journey on the server. Overall, Lineage has offered us many memories and nostalgia, and it's not just about the people we met while playing, but also the game itself. Although it may not be as popular as it once was, it still holds a special place in the hearts of many players.

We all know what private servers are doing, we all agree on this only to have a chance to play l2 again because we LIKE this game. Spending time in l2 is worth the same as playing every other pc game, there is no difference, you are wasting your life time the same way. The whole video summary is about you getting mad about Reborn admins denied paying you money for server promotion, and then you tell viewers to leave l2 because there are better games and let lineage 2 rot. And last part of video is just telling how bad is christmas event, where you need to collect items to get christmas tree. Man, you picked wrong game to play, mmorpg is ABOUT spending your time to farm items. Im not defending l2 private servers. Im saying, that if some1 like to play old lineage 2, private servers are only option to do it. And after playing many servers Reborn is so far the best, and its proving it by staying online for 3 years and having huge online even after all this time. Hey man, thanks for watching the video I appreciate that. You made a lot of points and I can relate to most of them but we all have our opinions about certain things the way they are or the way we see them or expect them moving forward. To make it clear: I was expecting a a lot from the game, server, server admins It took some time for me to fully understand and have a complete picture. I can't say I had a bad time in a game, I can't say what I did or time that was spent in clan/ally or pvp was waste of time, absolutely not. Multiple times I caught myself expecting change to be added to the game to make Lineage II 2.0 with tweaks and additions to make game better, but I was shown and faced with hard to swallow reality of Reborn server where change is not going to happen. As much as I could I wont share feedback how to improve game and make private servers more appealing, as such factor of illegal stuff just simply triggers me. Regards to toxicity, yes L2 is very toxic. Not sure if game is toxic as League of Legends or Dota2 but it is and simply without moderation control or anything like it. Statements of Murder, Molesting, Raping, Sexism is core of private servers in Lineage 2, such things are not filtered or even considered as bad behavior worth of banning anyone or in a way that owners would stand for something to protecting integrity of company itself, its a free ride to sell anything buy anything.. after all its a software based illegal market(in a way, lol). As there is zero legal standpoint what you can do, should do and what is protected or not, there is no control of what content of information is exchanged you are never protected. So it leaves with singular decision you as a person need to take to accept it - swallow it and live on, or say hell with this and go to any other video game that has a legal grounds protecting people with singular focus to suck your time as much as possible meanwhile giving you joy in a game that is up to date 2022 (without statements of destruction without control). L2 private servers has no proof that you played there for them to protect you, you are a bag of cash for them to exploit. Create a problem - sell you solution. Sorry to give you that but, I see myself to be first one to say something about the game besides showing off pvp scenes or saying how good game is, i'm keeping it real. I will not remove older videos that i made about the game as I enjoyed every bit of making those, but that is not what I am now. I see game to be bad influence on me and it needed such reflection of how game really is long time ago, i'm happy i made this video so i have nothing but to stand by it. For me L2 days are over. My dad and I used to own a server. It was small but it was nice. No donations (Like actually, it was run in our basement lol) we had a separate PC set up just to host it. People found out we actually played on the server and had a shit fit. Someone must of gotten salty when we banned them from being a GM... and was a rat. Everything was farmed for, nothing was made out of thin air. Long story short. It was either you let us play on our own server which is why we are making it or we can shut it down. They picked it being shut down. They are probably wishing they were not assholes about it now. Guess it is what it is... Now most servers are basically 12000x or a low rate server with bots that are literally allowed. Most mid rate servers too. Kinda defeats the purpose...

I had an idea for a private server, where during the week the server is up for 6/7 hours per day and on weekends it’s 24h. That way no life players and farmers are very limited to take advantage. Most of the l2 fans are working people with children ect. No one NEEDS to play at 3-4 am. 1 Brazil 1 EU, 2-3 RU servers. Done.

1st of I wanna say that I agree with half of the stuff you say from the other side as a Lineage 2 game developer I disagree. And I will talk specifically for my self now don't care what other L2 developers are doing. 1st of all you need to understand why L2 private servers exist in the first place. Private servers exist because official server have so many settings and features that are pissing people off like for example the eternal grinding to reach from lv1 to lv130 is impossible, so as Admins we tweak these settings. 2nd in order to have a decent PvP char in official servers you need to sell 1 of your kidneys, your house and probably your soul. Specifically me I have never came across a private server that needs SO MUCH money to have a decent PvP oriented char. Now regarding the Admins. You need to always remember this Lineage 2 is a game depending on the Admin the game can be a garbage OR can be great! Lineage 2 is like a Hammer. Hammers are tools, Tools can be used to build something magnificent but it can also used to crack open someone's head. I have seen Admins LITERALLY downloading the server files and literally the very next moment are opening their server without putting a "personal touch" I have also seen admins that made SO MANY changes to their project that is actually making the game 10x times better. Overall there are people who are going into L2 game developing strictly for money there are also Developers who are interested in "how can I make this game better for my own satisfaction" and don't care about donations. Regarding corruption now I can agree 1000% with you I have seen it plenty of times in many servers I have played in the past. This is one of first things I tried to make clear in my own project. Now me specifically I started developing my own project for 2 reasons only. 1st. Because I had enough of the incompetence of some Admins/GMs that are unable to fix simplest things in their project, and they are focusing on non vital things like "how can I make this cloak glow in the dark because it looks cool"... 2nd Because of the incompetence of the Official servers instead on focusing on how can I make my game looks better they decided to split their game into 3 branches Live/Main, Essence, Classic. So my goal was to merge these 3 in one unique project.

If you want to farm on Official EU server you need to put out 10k euro in char on black market. IDK about PvP since its 1hit fiesta. SO yeah into perspective, as bad as private servers are shit still better then officals. You want to play some nice mmo? Try WoW

One thing I disagree with you is about letting the game die! L2 up to C4 was fine . You say about toxic well L2 is a heavily based PvP and grinding Korean game what did u expect ? Dude! The guy named the dark elf that you show in your video is legit ! He was a real terror as a dark elf dagger main in L2 dawn ! What the guy says in pmfun forums is total truth and legit AF! Nowadays I found him by total chance in warmane wow private server playing a night elf rogue under the name thedarkelf, rping a dark elf while pvping in open world listening to L2 music,lol,total beast the guy as a pvper,although he is still learning wow. Imagine that the dude even here is total nuts he goes solo against priest warrior party ! Lol they bring 80 lvls to stop him! He told me that he will come back to L2 only and only if someone creates something clean and solid, which as I understand is really hard to make! I really wanted to play L2 but after speaking with the guy I ain't taking the chance to play again, in private servers. You are right in your video as dark elf in pmfun forums is! Except if its free play privat servers that doesnt require monthly paid only to login that still exist and created by some ppl on my country as majority players from my country like to be f2p players 🤭 Although sure they open donation option that will give anyone that donate certain benefits but its not much depend on donation though There are some privat servers that the admins gonna give out equipments with enchanted grade A/S armor or weapons too other than some benefit like exp/drop rate for players that donated certain amount of money

Some of my friends ever made a privat server like that years ago although its closed already after they getting more busy irl and cant manage the server anymore, most case is after they got married 🤣 It was a good private server that could maintain its balance as they made it for fun not for simply focused to making money from it which is very very rare case nowdays

L2 reborn is the top Lineage 2 server for many years, no P2W, no dual boxing, more players than retail ... different versions of teh game.. it is the most populated, most english speaking as well.
