Congrats on getting all signed up for Medicare Part A. I have little while before I can sign up and have been watching your channel and others, so I know what things to look for when it's time for me to sign up. two of the other you Tubers I have watched about retirement info are Buzz's Retirement Garage, where he breaks down his monthly expenses and how his Social Security check covers them...or not. I have also been following The Retirement Nerds channel where he breaks down how Medicare works in each state and the costs associated with some of the plans as well as info on Social Security. Thank you for sharing your journey into retirement with us, it really helps to hear this stuff explained by real people like you.

The rule when I retired was you could apply for Medicare 3 months before and after your 65 birth day. A lot of people think they can’t retire. But, they forget about all the things they pay while working that they want pay after retirement. You mentioned one FICA. But, you want be contributing to your 401K. That was a big one for me me. No commuting cost, work cloths, wear and tear on your work vehicle. Our insurance is actually cheaper than what I paid at work. We ended up making about the same income after retirement.

I didn't think about all those things that I pay for just for working. You mentioned a few like the 401k contribution and clothing cost.
