My sister and I cried so hard when my Caribbean dad called and told us he loved us randomly 😭😩. He raised us as a single dad and yet there’s only a handful of times we actually heard him say he loved us. Now I have kids and he says he loves my kids every time he talks to them on the phone lol.

Cruel parents sometimes realize they've been horrible and try a 2nd time with their grandchildren before ever comforting their own children for how they raised them. Which is actually really fucked up, but atleast they don't put as much trauma in them as you. Instead they spoil them, give them candy and unfortunately do what they should have done for you while raising you to them and make it harder on you who can't whoop their ass like the old days
