@@steventotsrusselldj. here in France all those of this era know that all dida's fights were rigged.besides all his fights were organized by his friend and fellow countryman (they both originate from algeria) samy kebchi.the day before the fight kebchi,dida and dekkers (then at the end of his career) were in the sauna together... The only two credible fighters respected and feared by the thai were the late ramon dekkers and the phenomenal Dany bill,the first ever farang (foreigner) to win the most respected and prestigious thai event: the king's birthday tournament!.When TF1 (biggest french tv network) came to see us at the time, they clearly told me that they would be interested in popularizing this sport only if we could provide more white people with whom their audience could identify.Dida was white and had a neutral name that didn't sound Arabic.hiis last name diafat only appeared at the end of his career for the promotion of the film that relates "his life"...

Coban had a more "European" style being a Thai, then the rest of the Thai fighters. He used to deliver very crisp punches and hooks. Such a great fighter he was.
