1:15 I can't get the monkey flip to go nearly as far as yours is there another input you are doing? my fair isn't true and when I try and do the spike variant I can't land it unless I delay the spike by like a whole extra second which just makes it so unrealistic for me to hit in a game.

No other input just make sure the side B is buffered. Also, keep in mind lucina is mid weight so this combo might not work against lighter characters at the same percent. The dunk will never be true, just a concept. The fair should be true though.

Also if you’re opponent has a bad habit of air dodging the fine air could still be viable despite the delay

Just wondering, how can you attack while holding the banana? For me, I just automatically throw in when I press the attack button.

You cannot attack while holding the banana, instead you can drop the banana in the air with Z-drop and then instantly press an attack button to catch the banana and send out an attack.

Depends on how far away from the ledge you end up, but typically directional air dodge is enough to make it back

i don't understand how you're able to catch the banana again starting in medium. i'm trying it but i think i'm throwing the banana wrong, and if i just drop it, it doesn't hit the opponent

You have to drop the banana using Z-drop (trigger button) but make sure you are facing AWAY from the CPU. Once the banana hits your opponent you can instantly press neutral air to re-grab it.

The reason you have to be facing away from the opponent is because z drop has a bigger hit box behind.

You can’t attack with the banana in your hand. You have to “Z-drop” it with your trigger button to drop it and then press an attack to catch it back.

At 0:43 what are you doing to start the combo? I cant figure this out

Do a short hop, and then neutral drop the item by pressing one of your triggers. You can throw an item in any direction, or drop it in place (“Neutral Drop”) by not having a direction inputed when you press the throw button If you are facing away from the opponent it will be easier to execute because the hotbox from the banana is bigger then if you were facing forwards. Combo’ing barrels into themselves looks simple but I can’t seem to get it, any tips?

Depending on weight and size, it can be fairly difficult to combo Diddy's barrel into itself. There's really not much you can do besides just practice it a ton. I would start by trying it on bigger targets (DK, K-Rool, etc.) and then work your way down to tiny opponents (Pichu, Jiggly puff, etc.)

Make sure you’re facing away from your opponent then low jump (x) , press shield to drop the banana, then fast fall into a neutral air. Let me know if this makes any sense or not lol
