Have you seen France-Argentina ? France Coratia (the best and most entertaining final in the 21st century, by far) was that a conservative football ? have you seen Monaco when Deschamps was coaching it (not even an outsider, he finished in championsleague final in the early 2000's). Deschamps is a coach which adapts his team to each of his opponents... Also, france Switzerland at the euro, we played as you wish, stupidly overly too much attacking, overly confident and we lost. I prefer to win by annihilating all opponents opportunities and obtain some clinical ones... and to be fair, French have put some memorable goals.

WC can't be comparated to UCL... it's above all, by far... Zidane won 3 UCL with the best club team in the world, not that impressive. there were more competitive teams in the WC than in UCL. and I l;ove Zidane, which makes us winning the 1st WC in french History in 1998. Deschamps trained a club team (Moncao) which was out of top 20 european, and put it in final in early 2000's... Zidane would have won the UCL with a poor team, I would maybe reconsidere my opinion, the fact ius that he had the best palyers and the best team, he took a team prepared by his mentor and logically won the UCL. any other result than wins would have been considered as a fail. Deschamps took a the french youngest and unexperienced team but won it the WC that is spectacular.
