Haven’t read this, but “The Year of Magical Thinking” was written with sensitivity and words that danced into my heart. She’ll be missed. Sidney, Betty, Joan, they don’t make ‘em like that anymore. This world full of violence towards the animals and earth, people looking to their cell phones for comfort instead of into the eyes of people next to them, or a walk in nature, saving an animal, the sooner I’m outta here, the better. Bye, Joan, one of the oracles of truth. 😞🙏

Reading _Blue Nights_ in Florida as Hurricane Ian approaches. What an incredible, singular writer. A friend turned me on to _The White Album_ decades ago, and I've been aware of her genius at some level ever since. Had intended to read _The Year of Magical Thinking_ but will save that for another time.
