The Order of Brothers of the German House of Saint Mary in Jerusalem (official names: Latin: Ordo domus Sanctæ Mariæ Theutonicorum Hierosolymitanorum, German: Orden der Brüder vom Deutschen Haus der Heiligen Maria in Jerusalem), commonly the Teutonic Order (Deutscher Orden, Deutschherrenorden or Deutschritterorden), is a Catholic religious order founded as a military order c. 1192 in Acre, Kingdom of Jerusalem.
The Teutonic Order was formed to aid Christians on their pilgrimages to the Holy Land and to establish hospitals. Its members have commonly been known as the Teutonic Knights, having a small voluntary and mercenary military membership, serving as a crusading military order for protection of Christians in the Holy Land and the Baltics during the Middle Ages.
Purely religious since 1929, the Teutonic Order still confers limited honorary knighthoods. The Bailiwick of Utrecht of the Teutonic Order, a Protestant chivalric order, is descended from the same medieval military order and also continues to award knighthoods and perform charitable work.

The majority of their military were recruited locally or from the HRE, and they were more like honorary members and the others were mercenaries. Last I checked, you can only join if you have good relations with the Church and have to be German and can only be invited. Lots of stuff 😂 As for me, I too would love to join the Teutonic Order but I'd join the Protestant knights of Utrecht, their Protestant branch, since I'm Protestant.

A lot of the european powers in 1900 think their populations need to be more unified. Their populations aren't doing it naturally, so you got to teach the peasants how much glorious history they have. There's a wave of historical writing, national museums and monument-building to educate people to be proud of some far-off history. Most peasants in Europe are closer to their neighbours than the central authority of the early modern states. Vienna can be more alien to you than the peasants next doors, even if they have another lord. Everything is crap when an army marches past, even "your" army.

As I'm sure someone who would blatantly accuse of hate towards Poland, the three great powers in Central/Eastern Europe of the 18th century, Prussia, Austria, and Russia, all decided to carve Poland up because of its deterioration in power. Prussia wanted to connect its eastern territory to Brandenburg, Russia wanted Poland gone for its past history of interference on their borders, and Austria simply wanted territorial gain, resulting in partitioning poland from 1790 to 1795 where in the last partition, Poland disappeared. Germans didnt have any "hate" for Polish people, the greatest example being the siege of Vienna when the ottomans were smashed by the mighty winged hussars, Germans valued polish soldiers and their strength. To say that, "Germans hate Polish" is grossly misinformed or ignorant to the contrary

However, while I do agree that silesia should be a part of Germany, I disagree that there arent any other polish lands now that shouldn't belong to Germany. The greatest example is East Prussia, and let me explain. It is true that the territory was claimed by the Teutonic Order, it was claimed during the Eastern Crsuade when paganism was still largely around in modern day eastern Europe, and it was rightfully kept under German control. Originally the knights had mostly a relatively small amount of territory compared to its neighbors with it only increasing in size after the newly christened Poland-Lithuanian kingdom had kept trying to kick out the Teutonic Order. For centuries, the inhabitants there kept some aspects of their ancient East-Prussian culture but had largely assimilated to become German in a land surrounded by slavs. As for pomerania, that land does have a good amount of (polish)slavic ties to it but for the most part it has a more Germanic connection, not German, Germanic. The reason for this is that, besides the eastern crusades, Modern day Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Austria, Czech republic, and Netherlands all are branches of ancient Germanic, similarly how they're different branches of Greeks from Sicily to Afganistan. The point here is Pomerania had a greater amount of Germanic peoples in it, thus why it was fought more between Prussian-Germans and Swedes rather than slavic Poles Even putting ethnicity aside for a moment, Poland simply was a decaying nation for much time from the 16th century onwards, a weakening power in between the rising might of Prussia and Russia. As far as territory claims go, East Prussia is the furthest where Germans have a legitimate ground, simply put, both parties have a say but Germans, in my view, more so

dunkle 12 Jahre? die dunkelheit begann anfang/mitte 16. Jahrhundert und zwar nur weil die Deutschen damals zu langsam waren sie hatten nicht alle erwischt diese nicht dann geflohen nach Paris, London, Moskau & in die USA aber sie werden sterben im 3. WK 😏 mitsamt all ihren Helfern danach wird jedoch die Erde fast leer sein
