Thanks, I appreciate that. And yes, these songs hit deep every time you hear them, without fail. I'm glad to have found them. After the espionage Act of President Woodrow Wilson, almost all German culture stopped being passed down here in America. My grandpa still remembers the day they were told they couldn't sing in German anymore. I still lament that and wish that my town kept the language alive.
