Die Hard 2 is totally underrated. Maybe it sticks to the formula a lil too much but having Holly, xmas time, and some Al in the mix is so fun and SO Die Hard. Thanks for the interview!

Great interview ! I love when interviewees are so generous with their answers but that is also in large part due to amazing questions. After watching this interview, I just realized Mission Impossible 3 is actually Die Hard 3 :)

I enjoy the rest of the Die Hard films but Die Hard 2 is more of a true sequel and is either my second favorite to the first or my favorite all together. You feel the stress that he’s under to stop the bad guys because he’s trying to save lives but this is even more important to him because of his wife. It’s such an underrated film in the series.

I’ve been saying it’s the best Die Hard sequel for decades. Just an awesome cinema experience among a plethora of great movies that year. Saw the third movie in 1995 and was underwhelmed because it didn’t feel like a Die Hard film - because it wasn’t - it was originally going to be used as a Lethal Weapon sequel. “The Long Kiss Goodnight,” “Cliffhanger” and “Deep Blue Sea” were top notch action films, too. Renny needs to be back directing A-list, emotionally exhilarating action flicks again… Assuming the theatre-going experience ever comes back, that is.

I first discovered Renny Harlin by watching "Deep Blue Sea" at the age of 6, and it became one of my all-time favorites. Not to mention that it was my first R-rated movie that I watched, along with "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines". His movies may vary on critical reception, but IMHO, the best ones that Harlin made are "Die Hard 2", "Deep Blue Sea" and "Cliffhanger".💯

I saw Die Hard 2 before the original on VHS and loved it. Obviously Die Hard is one of the greatest action flicks of all time. But 100% agree with the kid that DH2 “Die Harder” is far and away the best sequel of the franchise. Great interview btw.

Nowhere near the best sequel. Its really good, but it's an almost exact copy of Die Hard 1 but in an airport with a MUCH weaker villain. The best sequel is easily Die Hard With a Vengeance. Then Die Hard 4, which is also fantastic. Then Die Hard 2. Die Hard 5 is an abomination.

I kind of like all of the Die Hards up to and including With a Vengeance. After that it changed and the movies became kind of just big and stupid and kind of PG13, cgi gobbledygook.
