For me as a German, it's impressive that a German punk band makes an American realize that he has a choice in what kind of country he wants to live in.❤

So, I'm gonna explain "Asshole guitarist" way down there, but first: The screams inbetween were in spanish because 1. it reminded for-his-whole-life-traveling-the-world guitarist Farin Urlaub (whose name is a german wordplay that means "go on vacation") of south and middle American countries he had visited, which had revoltes, revolutions and dictatorships. BUT more importantly 2. It's the first language of their bassist Rod (Rodrigo Gonzales). When he was little, he and his parents came to Germany as Chilenian refugees, fleeing from Pinochets reign of terror. The actual title of this song isn't "Demokratie": Rod actually didn't like this song. It's not about the message - that he agrees with - it's how it's delivered. Die Ärzte are usually very ironic, or have different layers of meaning in their lyrics. "Deine Schuld" and "Schrei nach Liebe" are some of the very few political exceptions (another one would be "Kopfüber in die Hölle") and even those are a little level under the straightforwardness of this song's lyrics. Not giving any room for interpretation felt to Rod like not leaving the listeners any freedom to think for themselves. On the album "Hell" this song isn't called "Demokratie" but (literally in english) "Our bassist hates this song". He still accepts it and he did like the music so he gave it half a point (on their songvoting system during an albumcreation), that's why, ironically it barely made it on the album through democracy ;) Every other songtile on that album is always just one word each. So "Demokratie" kind of brings it home as the real title. Now to explain "Asshole guitarist": It's Rod's language, he didn't like the song and Farin the guitarist wrote it. It's a way of Farin to make fun of himself and of this situation inside the band. That is very typical for them to have some humor in even their most serious songs.

I’m finding a lot of new things today! Die Ärzte are an amazing band, with so much to dive into, I would love to see you react to more stuff by them. Their album Geräusch from 2000 is pretty cool and their MTV Unplugged is amazing as well, it’s kinda based on the Ramones’ Rock and Roll High School and they play their back catalogue with an orchestra of teenagers in school uniforms

So if you're looking for a German song (in english) that's really straight talking: Jan Böhmermann (NEO MAGAZIN ROYALE) - Be Deutsch kzbin.info/www/bejne/fn60nIlrmLmopbs Warning: I don't understand all the American rules, but I think there are a few things said in the video that you're not allowed to say in your country. However, the nudity has been censored for KZbin. As far as I know, you're not allowed to show it in your country either. Incidentally, the background to the video is the refugee movement from Syria, which hit us very hard in 2015. It was an appeal by a German satirist for us Germans to take responsibility for all those seeking protection. And it's a parody of Rammstein!!! You will love it!

if you dont want to vote for none of them then go and turn your ballot paper invalid. you have still votet and it is registerd. its important to do that. greetings
@herrhartmann30364 ай бұрын
Nope, it doesn't work that way. An invalid vote is not counted in any way. If you really want to push up vote participation without supporting any major party, then just vote for one of the goofballs who will never get anywhere near a parliament seat anyway. Such as the Beer Drinkers' Union or Die Partei.

React please to Weimar with the song Hexenjagd. Maybe you learn something. I hope so. Because this Song is german framing for left radical sht. That is the truth, what kind of punkbands tells the listener who he has to vote? This is a joke. And not a good one.
