yes, the same. That was the first movie I had ever laid eyes on her beauty. I was a little boy and she made such an impression on me. For some reason this song made me cry in the movie, sentimental and cried at the end of the movie I believe her character had aged and died. She had the softest, smoothest singing voice that just flowed.

IMOVJ: Excellent! I've never heard a better rendition of this song! I can't say for others; but, I love it when GOD is made a part of the story and/or message! Of course, I'm a church pastor, so for me it makes sense. Debbie Reynolds was certainly blessed with an amazing voice and God-given talent. I, myself, can't really sing; but, I was given other abilities. The spectrum of talents and abilities is part of what makes this life worth living in! Thank you for that, O LORD! Take care and, for those who believe in God and His Word, I bid you, GOD Bless you, all the days of your life. From Pastor Mike Benjamins, Jr. 12-25-24 at 12:13 P.M. Oregon Time. IMOVJ means "In my opinion, view, and judgment". Enjoy your time with family and friends!!!

Perhaps just me but Debbie Reynolds in this song and her youth had an angelic voice. This was a great match to her voice and tune. Love this song (green sleeves) with her vocals. Actually, must agree with the comment above...this should be the American national anthem! And I'm English! What a beautiful song. And Debbie is astonishing in the film which it was sung: HOW THE WEST WAS WON. Her scenes with Robert Preston are heart wrenching in my opinion. Kevin Costner became an actor on the strength of Jimmy Stewart's performance in the film but Debbie & Carroll Baker & George Peppard were equally strong - with a narration by Spencer Tracy touched by god of course..!
