No bullshit. Richie's "what's my purpose?" has resonated with me so god damn hard. It's inspired me to ask myself the same and do something about it.

Also Syd asking Tina to be her "Jeff" warms the absolute fuck out of my heart.

I'm right there with you! Richie's wave of reflection and self evaluation is something I never would have expected from him when I started this show.

Arianna asking "why am i gonna cry?" Was my exact reaction to that scene when i first saw it. This show hits my emotions in so much different ways

Cicero is low key my favorite supporting character, outside of the main crew. He doesn’t fuck around, but he’ll give you an honest shot to succeed. Also, love Maple and Arianna commentary on working in the service industry and how their experiences reflect back on the show, e.g., using friends and family to find the problems before grand opening.

i love this fucking show so gd much. what they do with special guest stars, how they use them. the character development is both sudden and arching at the same time. (richie cursing carmy in the car at the hardware store + answering the phone and talking to his daughter taking you on sudden left turn) ... it's just such amazing stuff.

This season is so damn wholesome and all of the main characters get some fantastic character arcs you can't help but want to root for them.

Damn between Richie’s convo at the top and Tina’s smile at being asked to Sous, this show has all of the heart

The book Ritchie is describing is real, its called "Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage" by Haruki Murakami which thematically fits in with the overall story of Th Bear, in that everyone you know have their own issues that they often don't want to admit and if you cast someone out of your life, that doesn't necessarily solve anything and in fact can only make things worse. Much like how Mike tried to push Carmen away from the restaurant to hopefully let Carmen stretch his wings and to spare him from the difficulties of the family and restaurant. Made with good intentions even if it felt cruel, but all it did was just give Carmen the various issues he has today.
