The part when they were cutting back and forth between Ted talking with Dr Sharon and Rebecca talking to her Mom was so well done! One of my favorite scenes!

"i'll take your anger over your indifference any day." Is a fucking BAR. I can't tell you how hard and how meaningful that line was and is to me. If you yell at me, you still care enough to get mad. If you don't say anything, you don't feel anything... and that you don't recover from. So powerful.

The writing for this show is so good, especially watching it back. The small little detail of Ted ALMOST having a panic attack in the first ep during the press conference and the line Ted said to Jamie. “My dad was a lot harder on himself than he was on me” Just so good!
@christophervillalba41395 сағат бұрын
"He was a good dad. And I don't think he knew that. I think if he would've known how good he was at stuff he didn't really care about being good at, he... I don't think he would've done what he...and I wish I would've told him. I wish I would've told him more." I sat next to my father crying my eyes out during that scene... he was oblivious, never having seen the show.

My dad passed away when I was in my early 20’s and That scene with Ted talking about his dad helping him with his homework hits so hard. My dad did that exact same thing to me when I was younger. I love this show!
@ianoo2340 минут бұрын
The line that nailed it for me was when Ted was talking about how good a Dad he was- and it’s relevant to so many Dads; the things they worry/worried about being good at or just generally worry about aren’t always the things that matter; especially to a son or daughter. Sometimes it’s tiny little things your Dad did for you or with you in mind that mean the most or sometimes even just sitting on a sofa watching a tv show or movie together

Just gonna play devils advocate here and say if Rebecca was a 50 year old man who owned a women’s soccer team and started dating a young like 22 year old girl playing on his team (an employee. Power dynamics) then it would be considered a lot more problematic lol good thing Rebecca broke it off there.
@thajuice100ify4 сағат бұрын
It's not the same and everyone should stop acting like it is. Men and women are literal opposites so by that fact alone, our situations are not interchangeable..
@thegirlwholovesmusic3 сағат бұрын
it’s not about the gender or the age, it’s the power dynamics. for male/female, female/male, fem/fem, masc/masc. Doesn’t matter. when one pays the others salary, it’s unethical. if the love is bigger than that, they should find away to not work together and then it’s fine.
@SlimMac973 сағат бұрын
Rebecca doesnt target only young men or use a power dynamic to get with young men. And the circumstances which they met was totally random and innocent. Nothing wrong with it.

I cry like a baby every time I watch this episode. Even in Reactions. First time I saw it, I killed about half a box of tissues. I saw my Dad the following weekend and I told him I loved him and how I thought he was a really good guy in general. Never got that from a show or movie before. I know for a fact he would absolutely LOVE this series but he doesn't have an Apple subscription.

This episode has one of my favorite call backs with Ted getting dressed to Easy Lover. He had made a reference once in the episode where he overslept because of setting the alarm wrong or something, when Beard came to get him. Something about a man should be get ready in the time it takes that song to play.

I want to point out that Sassy, an experienced psychologist, has hooked up with Ted on two occasions (as of S2:E10), the night of his first panic attack after signing his divorce papers and after another panic attack around a funeral for a father. I don't think this is coincidental. There are people that sense when and where they are needed. And yes, I'm saying that sex can have healing properties.

If i'm not mistaken, the reporter from the Sun says that Bex was one of the women Rupert was dating while they were married. I always got this bit confusing since she shows up at the auction as Jamie's other +1 and bids for him, eventually leaving with Rupert. I always wonder if maybe she was doing that to make Rupert jealous. But I believe Bex was one of Rupert's affairs.
