Movsar fought Lopes because he had no fights available. He fought for the sake of fighting and money. The rematch doesn't make sense for Movsar since Movsar is undefeated.

He should fight anyone from 3-5, those being Brian, Yair or Evloev, at the Sphere. Or fight Barboza before fighting one of those fighters. Him vs. Ilia can be huge. Ilia is in the shark tank. Still Volk rematch, Max's big win & callout, Diego & Evloev.

Movsar already beat just last year, and it wasnt close to warrant a rematch so soon.

@ericcardenas702 it wasnt close but yes it was short notice and they can rematch in the future as Lopes improves and gets a few more wins. Evloev is on an 8 fight winning streak and ranked #5. It doesn't make sense to run it back with Lopes so soon.

Islam was on a 10 fight win streak when he got his title shot, and it was also after ~ #5 Dariush rejected a rebooking against Islam for June 2022, or it would have take him 11 wins. Lopes is on a 3 fight streak. Evloev is on a 8 fight win streak. His next fight will be a title eliminator.
