Era mejor técnicamente, pero el rendimiento de Messi es muy superior al que tuvo Maradona. Aparte de que las funciones eran distintas: Messi es un segundo delantero y Maradona era un mediapunta puro. No se les puede comparar y cada uno fue genial en lo suyo y en su época.

Two players stand out for me, and not because they’re stats were amazing but because they were capable of lifting an entire ground of their seats every time they got the ball. The OG was Maradona, never got to see him in the flesh but I did with the second and that was Ronaldinho at the Bridge. At its heart football is about entertainment, and nothing is more entertaining than watching players like this glide across the grass selling dummies not just to their opponents but sending the entire ground in one direction when they drop a shoulder and move in the other. Do Ronaldo and Messi have better stats? Sure, but having seen them both play numerous times Ronaldinho was by far the greater entertainer, he would have been the reason I bought a season ticket alone!
