He really struggled from all tackles. These were yellow red cards tackles . Plus give this guy credit he make it look so easy in a very difficult situation.That’s why no one will get even close to him. The only one was close is Ronaldo 9 . 1- Maradona 2- Ronaldo 9 3- doesnot matter

You're forgetting some other notable players; Best, Ronaldinho, Giggs, and Messi. But I agree that Maradona, with such nimble feet and a low base, was able to skip through tackles that most professionals now would just fall down and take the foul from. Really, the laws of the modern game, particularly in Europe, call a foul every time. What this is having the effect of though, is reducing the incentive for really quick feet to 'try' and stay upright and ride the tackle. Inadvertently, we're 'breeding out' the incentive and therefore the need to have the sort of grace and balance shown here. As an observer of the modern English Premier league, I get infuriated when players go down looking for the free kick, when it would have probably been in their best interests to stay on their feet and try and make a key pass. Most fouls are just clumsy and the overall effect is to create a stop/start effect in games. Maradona was so special, and despite the bad things that later emerged, you can't deny that this guy was a wonderful talent.
