From the first listen in 1973 to this day, The Wild, the Innocent, and the E Street Shuffle has been my favorite album. This song is one of the best. That piano opening is brilliant and haunting. The string arrangement is very effective, too. I can't think of a better finale on any album.

Ascoltare questa canzone di sera, nel 2021, mentre fuori piove, con il ricordo nel cuore di una sera nel 2005 che ero a Manhattan da solo nella notte lungo Broadway, è qualcosa di incredibile, brividi sulla pelle, mi viene trasmessa proprio l'atmosfera di quella sera, grazie per le emozioni e la magistrale interpretazione.
