Kudos to Dierks for working with Punch Brothers and Sierra Hull. So many country artists don't.

Yeah, it was great to see Sierra tour with Sturgill Simpson, and last summer do a few shows with Brad Paisley

Im born and raised in tempe, az. My background and influences from my parents is like Dierks who is from scottsdale, az. Raised playing bluegrass music with the 5 string banjo and then learned to play pedal steel, and as result I am well known as. Pedal ateel player in town. We are about the same age. Have dierks look me up if he gets back to scottsdale we can do a bluegrass Jam. I will bring out my flathead granda.

I agree. Tons of Bluegrass talent but wish the sound man or the country rock drummer could have toned it down a bit. They didn’t need it. Love watching the live stuff. Thanks for sharing.

I’ll personally disagree the drummer is playing loud because he is the one keeping time, without him the rest would literally fall apart. It’s also hard to play fast quietly. The level on the drum is probably high because camera is close enough to pickup the drums directly and through the PA versus all the other instruments you’re only hearing through the PA.
