Wow...what a fantastic bike...this combines a lot of my interests!...Bikes...in particular British, and biodiesel, never thought about a diesel conversion before!.. great vid its made my day now

It normally returns 180mpg, but I have had 203mpg once. I honestly didn't expect anyone to see this apart from a member of the diesel bike forum who did not believe you could kick start an 18:1 compression engine.

The motor is a Greaves 360cc, basically a copy of the factory produced Taurus (325cc) using all the factory produced parts, The engines are copies of the Lombardini 6LD series industrial engines used for generators, pumps, concrete mixers etc.

@DieselGreaves I saw a dynamometer test on a 22 bhp 500cc Enfield petrol, where the the frictional losses through the 4 speeder caused a 29% power loss to the rear wheel!!! HP was reduced to under 16 bhp! A legacy no doubt of its grease lubricant. If you have a 10 bhp diesel, then even with much lower losses due to the engine spinning only 2/3 rds of the rpm of the petrol, you are still looking at no more than about 7 bhp at the wheel. That's where the torque is disappearing!

hi i just got a 1967 royal enfield diesel with a greaves 500 cc and i was it is idling very high would you have any idea what i could do to fix this problem thanks
