I installed a DPF delete pipe and tune last month on my '13 CD. Highly recommend so far especially in driveability manners. If you're ever in TX, you're welcome to drive it. The DPF especially after the fix is choking the 3.0 TDI to death - literally.

THANK YOU FOR ADVICE WILL IT PASS INSPECTION?

@@sardororipov1302 My state doesn't have emissions inspection for diesels. These poorly thought out emissions controls are worse for the environment and definitely your engine in the long run.

Hi John, can you please tell me where you purchased your DPF delete pipe and tune, I would like to do the same to my 13 CD. Thanks for your help.

@@mikeall2699 Rawtek for the DPF delete and Malone for the "stage 2 tune with deletes". Both Canadian. I've been meaning to register at Rennlist and do an install writeup albeit 6mo later. Look for the thread there on cleaning your air intake after the EGR. It's the black plastic piping between the throttle body and intake manifold top front right engine bay. Mine was shockingly half clogged with 1/2" thick soot all around the pipe just like all the pics in the Rennlist thread. Use a shop vac with small hose. The tune is supposed to electronically disable the EGR.

I had a BMW X5 diesel showing the same code. My independent German car mechanic told me to drive continuously above 50 mph for at least 1/2 hour to clean/burn out the particle filter. He had cleared the code, I did what he said, and the check engine light never came on in the next 5K miles before I traded the X5 in. This may also apply to the Cayenne but I’m not sure but it would be worth a try. If you have a vehicle and it’s out of warranty, always seek out an independent shop with good reviews. Dealers don’t care about you or saving you money. They are there to get as much money out of you as possible. Period. I thad a BMW dealer tell me I needed a $750 sensor that had been replaced just the week before by another dealer. I asked them to check again and guess what, the sensor was now OK. This is just one example of how dealers, of both foreign and domestic cars, have or tried to screw me in the past.

That is what I did to clear this code on my Porsche Cayenne diesel.

My 2016 Cayenne diesel is at the dealer now having this filter replaced after the check engine light came on. It only has 20k miles on it…exclusively driven short distances in a small Florida town. Dealer told me the same thing….I need to drive it on the highway more so the filter will get hot and clean itself. This is troubling since I got this Cayenne after selling my BMW 335d that had the carbon buildup problem that required an expensive clean out (a family member had one and ended up paying 4-5k to have that repaired).

There is a second reflash for the diesel ECU. One of the fixes are false check engine light illumination.

I forgot to mention in my prior reply, that you no longer have to use expensive mail order ESP oil without a DPF. No AdBlue either.

Used this on my Mercedes sprinter diesel dpf. Works well, it's a two part flush. Cleared my codes. Liquimoly

Hi speed driving acts like a regen mode .this is how some heavy equipment clean the filters.

Yikes, that stinks. Did they say how long? I have had the error again, cleaed the code with a code reader and took it for a long drive and it seems to have cleared it.

Thanks for the video. I have a 2015 Cayenne diesel... with about 50k miles almost exclusively highway. Im curious what your city vs highway driving use has been with your Cayenne? From what i understand the particulate filter issue might be less of an issue if the engine is allowed to heat up regularly and burn and clean the particle filter. Maybe this is wishful thinking on my part. Perhaps other viewers of this video can chime in? Thx again for posting.

I am not sure on the first 59k miles since we bought it used. For us we do a fair share of around town driving and I was wondering about this myself. In my last Diesel which was a GMC it has a regen mode to burn and clean. Not sure what this car does.
@johnh9364 жыл бұрын
The ECU implements (inflicts) a regen mode which super heats the DPF (and everything else) in an attempt to burn off deposits. It only works if you're at a sustained rpm for a prolonged length of time - not stop and go city driving. It also super heats your oil which causes it to break down much faster.
