My old Elementary School has a Schindler 330A with a center opening door. There is also a sister building not too far from this building either and it has an Otis Series 5 with a single speed door... Strange I'd say!

I have a question I wanted to ask you about regarding Schindler elevators. I remember around 2010/2011, Schindler elevators seemed kind of quirky. Quirky enough where I felt they represented a stereotype of the company. Over the last several years, they came out with some great elevators and even their older elevators ran well too. My question is, were Schindler elevators actually kind of quirky back in the day? Or did some of us just keep finding the worst examples of their products? Yet again, there were more department store elevators elevator enthusiasts went for back then so that could of played into that era. I'm just curious now that I am thinking about it.

I actually have been impressed with Schindler lately. Also a lot of the older 330a elevators have been holding up well
