It’s because back in the day, they were designed to certain degrees. It’s a bit hard to explain. But ever since the CompassPlus mod, it’s mostly not like that anymore.

These used to have the Westinghouse explosion proof buttons

They changed them to Otis Plus elevators, now you type in a key and it'll tell you which elevator to go to after you typed in a floor number.

Im here in England UK these lifts (or USA people call it elevator or elevators) are amazing! I wish I couldve rode these when they were original, they sound very shakey! The new Otis Compasses look nice but I prefer the old ones. I believe the Otis Compasses might have been 3.5 M/S (M/S stands for Metres Per Second) and I feel like this one is 3.5 M/S too. Amazing video and amazing lifts (elevators)!

It’s actually 42 floors (counting ground & basement), w/ a shuttle car going to 37-40. Only F serves 32. 2‘s accessed by a Schindler MT from the 3rd floor.

It's 1 office, & it's only served by Car F. Only 1 car serves it due to the weird elevator configuration. I guess it showed on the indicator on some other cars even though it doesn't serve it. I don't know if it ever did or not.
